May Day isa very popular holiday in France and one in which most restaurants are shut down and the ones that are open are packed. With the help of La Fourchette and our Michelin Road Atlas, we estimated where we would be in transit and booked a table at this very congenial hotel-restaurant. In the U.S.A. I usually avoid hotel restaurants unless the city is under siege. A very fine level of culinary artistry, an attractive setting and a welcoming staff all contribute to a fine experience. The dining room was packed on a holiday (May Day), but everyone was treated with respect, grace and good humor.Even rural France can be a world class venue when it comes to high quality dining. This establishment is clearly loved and respected by locals and it should be on your radar when you are in the area if, like us, you are passionate about fine dining. A very extensive wine list, and a wide range of choices on the menu make this a truly enjoyable dining destination.

eating is beautifully presented and tastefully presented with a good wine list that presents local wines. the prices are appropriate for this quality of the restaurant.
