Auberge de la Marine

We really enjoyed our visit to this very unprepossessing restaurant/auberge from the outside in the centre of this lovely small seaside resort on the Bay of the Somme. The reservation was made a day or two before and the restaurant fully booked. The variety offered was excellent and we selected the three-course menu for 38 Euros and it was excellent from start to finish. The service was very friendly and professional with good explanations of the food. A thoroughly enjoyable evening

Here the cooking is on a very high level and the chef has fun cooking with the local seasonal ingredients. He comes and explains the dishes when served and you can see and hear it yourself. Creative cooking but not “crazy” as at some places. The sommelier knows his stuff and also has fun to explain if needed the wines. The interior is nice and seashore inspired. Open and warm. We recommend!

This is a lovely restaurant. A lot of thought, preparation and experience has gone into making it a great dining experience in a comfortable, tasteful setting. We eat here two nights in a row and all our dishes were a superb combination of original flavours and colours. All the food was delicious. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Very highly recommed. Need to book in advance.

We had dinner here yesterday evening, 4 people. Took the menu dégustation with the wine. The food was very nice and fresh, interesting preparations. Very experienced sommelier, tasted different wins which we did not know. Very good relation price/ quality, Eur 80 per person all included. If you are in the area you should really try.

Very original and creative dishes. We appreciated a lot the discovery menu, with two starters with fish and a main with rabbit. Very surprising, but very tasty as well, with a combination of vegetables.
