I only stayed for one night - I arrived late to Paris Orly airport and la Vallee Verte is around 1hr 20 mins drive from there.I called ahead to order some dinner due to my late arrival and the owner was very obliging and asked if I preferred meat or fish.On arrival - parking is directly opposite.The rooms are basic (a little tired) but very clean and comfortable. The wifi was excellent.The real surprise was the restaurant. The village was so quiet - but opening the door to the restaurant, I was greeted by delicious smells of food and jovial laughter and conversation. We celebrated the 50 years of marriage of my beautiful-parents, the reception was perfect, the meal succulent, the nickel service. I recommend this hostel without any problems. For my part I'll go back with my wife with pleasure. Thank you to the manager and staff for their kindness and professionalism. Living next to Dreux, we didn't test the hotel rooms.
The restaurant is set in the old coach house and has been tastefully restored. We usually have the €34 menu which has a choice of starters, mains & desserts. Plus there is always a tasty "amuse bouche" to start with whilst you choose. Service is impeccable and the food is stuffed with local produce and wonderful flavours
