Chuck and Juliet offer a warm welcome in this prettily decorated auberge at the Grand Paradis end of town. It is out of the way from the main village, but well worth seeking out. There is almost always a roaring fire in the cosy anteroom, and the main dining room is light and charming. There is quite a wide range of choice from typical ski resort fare of fondue and dried meat platters to substantial Swiss meat and vegetable meals and even some Thai variations. Children are welcome and childrens' menus are also available but even these tend to be substantial. We tend to make at least one visit here each time we have family visiting in Champery.
My parents-in-law had said that whatever we do, we should go to Auberge du Grand Paradis and how right they were!We actually came as a party of 17 - children and adults. We were looked after impeccably by the staff and ate three excellent courses. I love the Auberge itself - so tastefully decorated and so ambient. I could happily spend the whole day there. The food and wine is top notch. Will definitely be a regular from now on!Top tip - earn your lunch by skiing down Ripaille and in through the front door. It will be a truly memorable lunch.
Chuck war ein toller Gastgeber und hat sich gut um uns gekümmert. Ich hatte eine tolle Hütte mit wilden, frisch gepflückten Pilzen, die einfach himmlisch waren. Meine Frau und meine Kinder hatten alle den Lachs und waren begeistert. Es war wunderbar zubereitet mit herrlich frischem, sautiertem Gemüse. Schöner Ort. Gehen Sie vom Dorfzentrum weg und unternehmen Sie einen Ausflug zum Grand Paradis. Wenn Sie dies nicht tun, werden Sie ein Juwel verpassen.
Chuck was a great host and looked after us all well. I had a superb cabin are with wild, freshly picked mushrooms that was to die for. My wife and children all had the salmon and loved it. Theirs was cooked beautifully with lovely fresh sautéed veg.Nice place and do step away from the village Centre and take the trip up to Grand Paradis, you will miss a gem if you don't.

Ich habe die drei Nächte, die ich alleine in der Hütte verbracht habe, sehr genossen. Ich könnte für mich selbst kochen, in einem sauberen Bett schlafen, ein Bier trinken (es gibt viele Sorten im Restaurant oder vor der Hütte), ein nettes Gespräch mit Kelly, der Chefin, führen. Ich kann es wirklich empfehlen Es war eine große Freude, dabei zu sein. Vielen Dank!!
We came in for lunch in-between hikes on a sunny Sunday. Everything is made from scratch and is very tasty. The restaurant is dog and kid friendly. Highly recommended!
A good mix of traditional Swiss mountain food and general fare. Extremely tasty. Something for everyone!! Puddings - OH WOW!! make sure to save space!!
