while we visited a friend in genf, we spent an extra night and returned to the forest for another dinner at the auberge du vieux vieux bois in divonnes les bains. her idea of the planche de montagnarde as an appetizer overwhelmed my man by his great! actually it was a meal in itself. the hunch that followed in the menu was a bit overlaid, therefore disappointing. my appetizer of crispy reblochon was simply amazing. the fine main course of the fish was delicious. I was lucky that my man was a crème brulée du jour. a perfect finish! not to forget: the wine selection is excellent, with 0.375 dl bottles, perfect for two.
the vieux bois closed end 2021 and reopened as L’Accord parfait in the March 2022. owner chef rudy desplanque by le bon accueil is responsible for this new venture. it's just a week open, but looks like it's my new favorite. divonne restaurant! menu de jour for 17€ weekdays. open from Thursday to Monday (you can also order fresh roast chicken for lunch break. worth a visit!
I have been to the Auberge du Vieux Bois three times and each time it has been fantastic. The food is wonderful, portion sizes are great, and service is marvelous. Go and see for yourself!
This restaurant is excellent the food is excellent and very well presented and staff are very friendly and attentative. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and go back.
