Auberge Paysanne De La Mer

Came to Auberge Paysanne de la Mer due to the Trip Advisor reviews and was not disappointed. We parked a short distance away and walked to the restaurant behind the tractor pulling a trailer of freshly collected oysters. We both selected the Assortment of seafood and enjoyed delicious oysters, clams, crevettes, langoustines and whelks all very fresh washed down with a caraffe of local wine. A perfect lazy lunch at the end of our holiday looking out over the bay. Although I was too full to have any more, the fish of the day looked and smelt fabulous at the near by tables. On a walk we discovered this oyster restaurant. It is cute and very authentic with this very typical low tide view of this region. The welcome was very nice. Our ally was welcome and we even offered her a bowl of water. Thank you! We ordered oysters, pink shrimp and small potatoes. We had a bottle of sparkling water and a lemonade. All for 43 euros. Very correct. I note the quality of the freshness of the products. We've been enjoying ourselves. Get your eyes closed.

A brilliant setting to enjoy the wonderful seafood on offer the owner has his own oyster beds and his wife Sophie runs the restaurant spent a lazy Monday afternoon here nice bottle of dry white muscadet €17 good value had the seafood platter and the langoustines and the cheese plate all in all a wonderful day was had the the owners couldn’t have been more friendly all speak good English puts my little French to shame Lol

Small stop during a mountain bike ride, we spent an excellent time at lunch. The dishes were excellent and the welcome was quite perfect and warm. Thank you and very good continuation to you.

Probably the best oyster hut on the island!! Value for money excellent and service is TOP! All the staff is adorable. We’ve been coming every year for several years, we don’t get tired.
