Me and my family have been to Ava’s several times. The food is excellent. The service needs to be a little more friendly and accommodating. On several occasions we asked for an extra sauce or dressing and the waiters and waitress told us no that everything was allotted for and they don’t have anything extra. The prices are not cheap but I still would have paid for it and still the answer was no. Not a good way to treat customers. Not a place to bring a date it is noisy. Also no regular beers there just microbrews. Menu is not extensive at all but liquor menu is. The last time we were there I had a party of 5 and we were finished in 1:20 and they rushed us out. This is first and foremost a bar. Inside was rustic and noisy. Very few food items on the menu (two pages of food, of which one was dedicated to pizzas. 10 pages of drinks). Most of the food items were pretty heavy calorie wise. The breads served with the appetizer were stale. Prices were high relative to the total experience. Service was very snappy…no complaints.
I had reservation for 10pm. Hostess said that next table available would be for me. Than they gave me one table in a back room that looks like not even part of the bar. The waitress was terrible. And not even told us that kitchen was closing and we had no time to eat meal, only appetizer. Service is not good at all.
It was our first time there and we were thoroughly impressed. Every bite of food was outstanding and the preparation was carefully thought out. A small menu with super fresh ingredients that is executed to perfection. Our daughter's 18th birthday was a memorable one.

As always the food and drinks were on point. The clam toast was delicious, the onion soup was very hearty and the pizza (chorizo-22) was terrific.
while impeccable service is wonderful, our table was cleaned when we sat there and my drink was taken away.
