On vacation and had lunch on the patio. Husband and I shared an incredible meatball--so tender and coved with a delicious red sauce. I had the Detroit pizza. Best of its kind I've had outside Detroit. The dough was crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. Husband had the caprese pasta. Just the right amount of sauce with fresh basil and perfect amount of seasoning. I almost never get dessert but was so impressed with the rest of the meal, I had to try the beignets. Wow, great food with solid/friendly service...this place restored my faith in Cambridge restaurants. I'd gone to another pizza location closer to where I was staying and was turned off by the lack of customer service. Yes, I researched the first venue as well and although they had great reviews, my experience did not support it. Now Ava's saved the evening for me and I had the most devine food: pappardelle Bolognese and Chef's favorite pizza were both delicious! The benignets were a heavier dough than the traditional New Orleans treat, but was definitely tasty and my granddaughter would be happy. Give Ava's a try and you won't be disappointed! Ava’s ended up being a great place to host a luncheon for my son and his soon to be bride in their semi private dining area. William was easy to communicate with via email and answered all of my many questions. We were able to set up and decorate the space when they opened and had the room to ourselves for as long as we wanted. The food and service were great and the “family style” portions for the prefix group menu was more than generous. Ava’s was just the right place for a casual yet special gathering of family and friends.
Although known for their pizza (the Bianca was delicious), don't sleep on the pasta at Ava's Pizzeria. The Papardelle Bolognese was fantastic! It was creamy and meaty definitely a must while here. The spaghetti and Ma's meatballs were also a hit with the little ones. In addition to their food, Ava's also offers a good selection of wine, beer, and cocktails. For delicious food, refreshing drinks, and good service while in Cambridge, Ava's is your spot.

We stopped here while on vacation. Beautiful ambiance, good service, and delicious pizza and wine. We got the onion tart pizza and I've been dreaming of it ever since. It was so good! Kinda like French onion soup on a pizza, but, you know, not sopping wet. LOL. I will be making a road trip soon to have this again.
Really enjoyed our lunch at Ava’s. The chefs favorite pizza was quite good, as was the homemade Parmesan potato chips. The beignets were huge and delicious. Highly recommend. My daughter loves this place. It is a great to go to place. The food is always spot on and service excellent. I have been here about 5-6 times and won't stop. Great place.
Unexpectedly good meal. Had excellent service. Pizza was pricey for 12 inch pie but delicious. Never had. Detroit pie before but I am hooked. Filling and tasty.
