The food and ambiance were fantastic. However, the real reason we’ll return has two names. First, our server Brooke was incredible right from the start. She was sincere, genuine, and incredibly attentive. The second reason is Shelley. Towards the end of the evening, she came by our table to bring us a drink, and my cousin and I connected with her instantly. She was also very genuine. This place has such a warm, family-like atmosphere. We’ve decided to make it our go-to spot while I’m visiting my cousin from Corona.
I went for lunch with a friend and we had a great experience. The salsa chips were the best I've ever tasted! Our server was incredibly friendly and did a fantastic job explaining the menu. I ordered chicken taquitos and my friend had beef tacos, both of which were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Avila's if you're in the mood for Mexican food!
Great food. We had the avocado bowl. And the devil shrimp. Both were good. The shrimp dish had more kick. Avocado bowl was nice, but a bit flat. Chips and salsa were good. Highly recommend the guac and making it spicy via their sereno peppers. Flour homemade tortilla are great. Very dog friendly! Great outdoor patio!
Went for a drive, quick walk and to grab some tacos. Still searching for the best taco. Started with some chicken tortilla soup and then moved on to a la carte tacos. Pretty decent. Service was ok. I passed by Laguna Beach and discovered this restaurant, drawn in by the inviting atmosphere of their outdoor seating area. I ordered Mama Avila's Soup, and it was absolutely delicious! It's a lovely restaurant, and I will definitely return.
I recommend Taco Tuesday! $2.00 regular size tacos loaded....no street size tacos! The atmosphere on the terrace cannot be beaten! I'm back!
