I haven 't been to the Baja Cali Fish Tacos Alhambra location since covid! I 'm returning here about 2 years later, and while I 'm glad to see this restaurant still thriving, the experience was definitely different. The price for a fish taco now (not on Fish Taco special day) is about $3+. I 'm glad to say the fish tacos here are still a delight to eat and enjoy think about a full, fresh made, crispy battered fish topped with cabbage, salsa and Pico de Gallo. We came here for their special Thursday deal for $1.29/meats taco. We ordered the Al Pastor Taco, Asada Taco, Fish Tacos. All of them were alright, but needed more salsa and better tortillas. The fish tacos weren't as flavorful and crispy as I would've liked, it was missing the sour cream in top. Both Al pastor and Asada tacos were pretty good. They offer different daily deals Monday-Friday and have special combo deals as well. Service can take a very long time as there's only one line to order in-person or pay for the phone order. Order online to beat the line. You 'll get same deals online as you get in store. The only difference with online is you won 't know what the daily frescas are. I came on a Tuesday so it was obviously a packed house. Despite the rush, staff was super friendly and still took phone orders. Parking here sucks. Very limited so gotta park residential or across the street in a lot. BE KIND AND COURTEOUS, do not block residence driveways. Though I was turned off by one of the resident just behind Baja Cali. I am giving a 3 stars because of the waiting, I ordered online. On the confirmation email, it stated that it will take about 20 minutes. So, My lunch starts 12:30pm. I ordered at 12:15pm, by the time that I arrive there from my job would be 12:35 approximately. My order was done by 1:05pm. There where customers walking in that order inside the restaurant, and they received their order much faster. By the time when I got to the parking lot to my job was almost 1:15pm, i only had just a couple of minutes to eat since I had to clock back in to work at 1:30pm. Almost 1 hours for an online order. And in top of that, i paid extra for avocado, just 3 very small slices of avocado.
Waited in the drive thru line for an hour. They prioritize the people walking in vs the seven cars at drive thru. Drive thrus were made to make it quicker to get and give their food, this is anything BUT. Does the food make up for over an hour wait? Hell no, because either way I spent $70 dollars for 16 tacos, waiting in a hot car. Best bet is to walk in, you'll get your food much faster. Also the drive thru and parking situation sucks, it's super cramp tight. Never going through this line again, it was the biggest waste of time.
Baja Cali tacos is my go to place for fish tacos burritos. On a good month I’ll go there at least once a week. If you subscribe to their monthly newsletter you know what the specials are for the month. You can also order online if you don’t want to hassle with waiting in line. Supposedly your able to earn points each time you go, but I guess that hasn’t been integrated into their system yet because I am unable to redeem any points.
AMAZING! Ordered lunch yesterday and as usuals the food was great! I ordered the chicken Burrito and a birria taco, super tasty and delivered as I ordered it, if your around a Baja Cali fish Tacos, stop in as the 4 locations I have frequented the food is consistent and there Baja Cali red sala is the ! You won't be disappointed.
The best in it's field. Good fish tacos never disappoint and the rice and beans rounded it out into a nice meal. Also, a special thanks to Baja Cali for supporting Alhambra Day of service with free food for volunteers.Food: 5/5
Waited at the drive thru for 10 minutes and got no response even though there was a car at the window in front of me the whole time. Fish tacos might be worth the wait but not the crummy service.
