After Thai Express closed, and another restaurant took its place, I went to Bamboo Thai for my go-to dish, panang curry. The menu price on yelp was $9 for the lunch special. When I got the bill and it was over $32 for two lunch specials, I inquired, only to be told the menu prices were out of date. I said they should be updated and they implied that the customer should do that--REALLY? (I also don't agree that when you get a to-go order you should tip them but there it was.... Later when I was eating I found a long gray hair in the panang sauce which grossed me out (and no, I don't have gray hair myself . I won't be back. P.S. They weren't very friendly either.
It's a hole in the wall, but the lunch specials are a good value and the food is pretty good (except the Larb it's the only thing I've had there that I really didn't like and found to be much better at other Thai restaurants). Service is routinely very good as well. There is free parking on the east side of the building off of Artesia as well as street parking in front (free, but limited). They do a lot of take out, but have a small dining room. Nothing pretentious about this place. No frills. They're there to serve up Thai food and they do it pretty well.
The workers are super friendly the place was great! Little mom and pop shop, that was packed with people! I got the drunken noodles and was slightly disappointed cause I wanted it to be spicy. The menu says they're spicy, but I got no spice. The noodles tasted great, just wanted a more punch of flavor. The yellow curry was great tho! Had the perfect amount of heat and lots of flavor.
Ordered a pad see ew to go wasn't impressed. Their flavors are different than normal pad see ew it tastes very sweet. Besides that, it was bland there was hardly any broccoli put in it. I also thought it was interesting that they used American broccoli. The peppers that they give with it are really good! The lady who answered the phone was very nice but the food was just not good.

A cute place with yummy food. Everything our party ordered was delicious and we received our food quickly. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting.It is a bit frustrating that rice isn’t included in any of the dishes.Everyone at my table except me received generous portions. I paid $14 for a tofu stir fry that still left me hungry when I was finished.
Always order from them when I want to have authentic Thai meal. Reasonably priced but so good. Especially their lunch combos are great price! Normally I order online and pick it up but their restaurant is clean and tidy. I love all the curries there but Penang curry is the best! Mango with Coconut sticky rice for dessert and Thai iced coffee is my fave
I did take out, order was fresh spring rolls and wings . 9/10 !!!! I wasnt a big fan of the tangy orange flavored spicy sauce on the wing but it was still delish . It was just different to me. I loved that i got 6 spring rolls for 14$ and a good big portion of the peanut sauce.Delicious!!! I will most definitely be returning.
There is street parking outside! The service was incredibly quick! Highly recommend the pad see ew which is a classic! There was lots of space between tables which made this a great place to catch up with friends. I LOVED THE MANGO STICKY RICE!! So yum and the mango was perfectly ripe

Love this place!! A friend introduced me to this restaurant and now I eat here all the time. They are fast and always delicious. I order takeout here at least once a month and I'm not a takeout kinda girl : Delicious !!
