How sad and depressing. We used to love Banana Brazil. The Hartford location was our favorite. I loved it so much that we just stopped by for my 52nd birthday meal. Sadly, what it was pre-COVID is 180° different from what it is today. The warm personalities are gone. The meats are all overcooked. And the buffet concert has been replaced with every morsel of food being weighed. We spent $70 for a simple lunch with me, my wife, and my daughter. I can confidently say we will never be back.
A place where cleanliness is absent. The meals are on top of the others and the price is not to mention. We all ended up sick to our stomachs. My opinion is based on my personal experience, not the experience of other consumers. Nothing with the photos in the ads. I was excited to visit the restaurant and was disappointed. This is not fancy place, but it deserves 5 stars . Food is excellent, it’s by pound and only $9 per pound. It’s better tasting than Whole Foods. We are definitely going to be the usual bunch in there. Place is well maintained. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
You can't go wrong at this place! I dined in for dinner and had an excellent experience. The food was outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5, and the service was equally impressive, also a 5. It looks like one of those very authentic local spots that offers rich, cultural cuisine. I can't wait for them to open—I’ve been fasting just for this experience! By the way, this isn't my first time here.
