We had an enjoyable dinner but agreed that next time we will not ask for the spice level to be HOT. We were quickly seated and offered water and a basket of coloured Thai Prawn Chips while we looked over the menu.We ordered some Spring Rolls and Crab Cheese. Both came with plum sauce and they were delicious.For mains, my husband ordered the Cashew Nut (Traditional Entree) with shrimp - Stir fried bamboo, water chestnuts, baby corn, onions and cashews.I ordered the Keaw Warn (Curry) with beef - Thai green curry stir fried with bell peppers, peas and eggplant.Both of us asked for it to be HOT. My Thai used to be my go-to Thai restaurant in KW but not anymore! The food here is amazing. Both the red curry and green curry are incredibly creamy and flavourful. I dont normally like cheese wontons but their crab cheese wontons were excellent (the sauce that goes with it was so good). Also, I tried the curry peanut noodles for the first time and I highly recommend it! Its like a padthai in a creamier and nuttier sauce. My only complaint was that the Thai iced tea was a tad too sweet (but that was quickly resolved when the ice melted).This is officially my favorite Thai restaurant!
My wife had been here for lunch and enjoyed it. She was right, food was great. Each dish was fresh and uniquely flavored. Having the option to odder the level of spice is a great option. Tried one hot and rest medium. We enjoy spices food and hot was quite hot. Even the medium had a good zip to it. Very enjoyable
I basically agree with many of the reviews I read before dining at Bankok, great food, great service, don't get discouraged my the mini mall appearance. I had the peanut chili noodles. One thing, hot = hot people...it's legit got some kick - you have been warned. Seriously though, check this place out.
Three of us went. The Crispy rolls were different than I'd ever had, the wrappers were textured differently. I had the Pad Thai. It was fine, nothing special. Far from the best I'd ever had, but not the worst. I'd rank it below average though. My companions all seemed satisfied with theirs.
Not a great location and doesn't look like too much but great service and great food.We were three people so ordered a few dishes to share. They were very nicely presented and tasted great too. Careful with the heat but the wait staff will help you get it right.Very good value.
Although I have never ate in the restaurant, I am a frequent take out customer. Their food is delicious and fresh, flavours are always great and they have many options. Portions are very big and staff are always friendly.
This wasn't a spectacular, memorable meal--but when you are at a conference nearby, and you want an inexpensive, tasty meal with lots of vegetables, and prompt service--this was the perfect place.
It's so delicious! I've never eaten in but the take out has never disappointed. Delicious! Spicy! Good size portion. One of my favourite tags-outs!
