This place has a different menu than the original location in alhambra on valley blvd.This review is for the chicken banh mi, and this location doesn't serve it shredded, but it's grilled, which is fine.Although it tastes good, the texture is really hard to chew(really dry) and it's really salty. So is the shredded carrots and radish. It's definitely salty compared to the original spot. It tried it a couple of times and it was consistent. I even had one from the original location not too long ago, and their banh mi and pickled veggies are not salty. It was just good.I really wish this place was a little better since it's closer to me. But I am not sure if I'd go there again.

I love love love this place! I think I might love this location more than the OG one. My favorite is the signature cold cut banh mi! Prices are the best in the area, they've slightly increased but it is currently at $6.50 per sandwich. This location takes credit cards which is nice. Just beware if you come early in the morning, you might get leftovers from the night before. I ordered a chicken banh mi last time and the chicken tasted like well marinated rocks. I've also gotten a banh mi where the bread was really hard always happens when I buy early in the morning. Parking lot fills up fast! They have some tables/chairs for indoor dining but it's really limited.
I visited Phu's Bakery for some po tat and noticed this place across the street. I wasn't aware they had another location, and I'm glad I found this one—it’s cleaner, newer, and larger! I arrived at a less busy time around 2 PM, so my banh mi was ready in just a few minutes. The baguette was fresh, and the fillings were as generous as ever. This time, I decided to try their pandan tapioca cake dessert, and it was delightful. You can really taste the pandan without it being too sweet, and the texture is reminiscent of chewy mochi. We visit this restaurant about once or twice a week, but during a recent Saturday visit, I ordered three sandwiches with added eggs. It took an incredibly long time to receive my order, and surprisingly, five people who ordered after me got their sandwiches before I did! If you want to avoid waiting or being overlooked, I suggest not adding eggs to your order. Additionally, I noticed that if you tip the young lady at the cash register $20, she seems to prioritize your order and will give you your sandwich first!
I tried the sausage sandwich for the first time at a Vietnamese sandwich shop, and it was absolutely delicious! I really loved the texture of the bread. The staff was also very kind and allowed me to charge my phone for my Uber ride. Thank you! I will definitely be back.
I've been visiting this place and its various locations since I was a child. They serve the best banh mi I've ever tasted—hands down. The bread is fresh, crusty but not overly hard, and the grilled pork is absolutely delicious.
The grilled pork sandwich is delicious and substantial enough for an adult. The spring rolls were good and fresh, with a touch of mint. I also visited their location in Alhambra, but I prefer this one. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The best banh mi in town! The restaurant is clean, and the service is excellent, especially from the girl with big eyes—she's fantastic!
