we had only the embarrassment of choice in villandry for a place to eat. this restaurant was good for us because we had walked from the city hall parking lot. it is located at a crossroads with several external tables, where you can choose to be in the sun or in the shade. they serve excellent beer (and wine); food was perfectly acceptable and not very expensive. After a hearty lunch, we visited the castle, after which we went back to the restaurant at the beginning of the evening to take another beer, observe people and discuss the meaning of life.
in view of the quality of the hotel rooms, some would also like the restaurant to offer you the services of a gastro at the price of a brewery. Let us hear: we are 100 meters from the entrance of the castle in an ultra tourist area. and we are greeted and served with unforforced friendliness, the dishes are of good quality with real effort in their presentation, all at a fare that remains controlled. frankly, we're far from the tourist trap and it's reassuring to know that we can still count on honest professionals in these very busy places.
small hotel with restaurant located just outside the villandry castle. you can have fast and cheap meals inside and outside. fast and very courteous service. simple and carefully prepared foods. average quality of ingredients. Decent prices.
When you're not ashamed to serve a 4 cheese pizza that's 100 times too cooked I don't even imagine the cleanliness of the kitchen. a unfriendly waitress who mocked a customer who asked for the wifi code. Run!
