I'm guilty of walking right place this place for several years, until I looked and notice the place packed with people and a line up at the counter. I decided to go a check this place out and was WOW'd! The people behind the counter (Rami) was so helpful and friendly and very informative when we placed our orders. Couldn't believe the portion sizes ( Lamb pita for my husband and falafel for me) The sandwiches were stuffed with amazing sauces and were super messy (loved it) When we went to pay we were given a taste of the homemade bakalava dessert.... amazing! Will be going back again and again! Not a fancy dining place but clean and so were the washrooms, prices were very reasonable, portion...
When visiting Winnipeg, we've ended up here a few times on the strong recommendations of locals. It's a smaller family run operation serving mid-eastern fare that looks pretty simple, but don't be deceived. The food here is excellent. It's bonus that it's also well priced so that you can get an amazingly flavourful and filling meal and feel like you've received excellent value for your dollar.I'd strongly suggest trying their deserts. They are excellent. In fact, we've been their once just for the desert! If you're in Winnipeg and looking for something different than your typical burgers / sandwiches / etc, I'd strongly recommend this place.
This is a good place to get Lebanese food in Winnipeg. Right off of Main Street in the North End of the city. Side street parking is a little difficult, but it's worth it. The staff is friendly and the food is good. You can order falafel, schwarma, lamb meatballs, etc. There are tables, so you can sit down to eat, or you can order your food to go. Hands down Baraka's is the best place for Lebanese style food in the city. The staff there are extremely friendly to everyone. You see all kinds at Baraka's. From your average joe off the street to police officers stopping in to grab a bite on shift. The place is almost always packed. Finding parking is your only issue as it is right on Main Street.
Delicious! Service is lightning fast. Fresh ingredients. Never disappointed !! I love coming to this place!! PS. Don't even try to park in Pete's Place restaurant. They are evil and will tow you immediately if you even think about parking there!! Huge cash grab!!!
One of our favorite restaurants in Winnipeg. Great staff, great food, and great prices. We go here very often and never disappointed. Variety of food to choose from and authentic middle eastern taste. For people visiting Winnipeg and Winnipegers, must try place.

This was my first visit and I will definitely come back. Food was fresh and tasty. Staff were quick and the place was busy but never long wait for food.
