One of the best cocktail bars I 've been to. I saw a video about this place and thought their technique in creating their cocktails was so unique. If you can see the bar from your seat, you can see the bartenders the distinct wrist movement when using the cocktail shaker. Last fall, my party dropped by after dinner. You have to go into the restaurant where the staff asked if we were here for the restaurant or Angel 's Share. Although it might be tempting to eat at the restaurant for convenience, it 's perfectly fine to go somewhere else and then come here (during the weekdays and wait in line (it moves faster than you expect! . It 's very dark inside; even seated by the window, my party was...

We started with two cocktails: the Flirtibird and the Smoke Got In Your Eyes. **Flirtibird:** Made with Barley shochu, Mizu No Mai, shiso, yuzu juice, agave nectar, and a plum salt rim. This was our favorite of the two, and I expected it to be as I’m a big fan of shochu and all its components. It was perfectly sweet, with the plum salt rim adding a lovely touch of sourness. Overall, it was very well-balanced. Definitely recommend! **Smoke Got In Your Eyes:** This cocktail features Maker's Mark 46, Cocchi Barolo Chinato, Oloroso Sherry, Benedictine, bitters, and smoke ($19). As anticipated with those four spirits, this one was strong with a notable bitterness. We quickly understood why the...

She awkwardly said she would check with someone but returned within less than a minute, which left me wondering if she even discussed it with anyone. The posted rules didn’t state that two groups of four were unacceptable. Eventually, four of us decided to leave while the other four stayed behind (one of them had a flight to catch and wanted at least one drink). The worst part? When we decided who would remain, the hostess basically ignored us and tried to seat the next group, even though we told her multiple times only four would enter. We had to insist on getting just four people inside the bar. Later, when the rest of us returned four hours later, the same rude hostess was there again. S...

A must visit speakeasy in NYC! Loved the ambiance of the place and they had possibly some of the best and most unique drinks I've had. Anyone you birng here will be impressed. Entry: Go upstairs into the Japanese restaurant, then make a left and enter the door. Be ready to stand around and wait and also be prepared to show proof of vaccination. We came here on a Friday night and got lucky as we only waited for 20 minutes for a seat. Ambiance: Intimate and quiet enough to have a conversation but still feels lively. Drinks $18 each): Peel Me a Grape Very strong modified martini, good if you like martinis. The salted grape in the glass was a nice touch. Flirtibird One of my favorites, was a nic... Here’s what I specifically recall trying, in case you spot them on the menu again: - **Flirtibird**: Barley shochu, Mizu no Mai, shiso, yuzu juice, agave nectar, with a plum salt rim - **Night Day**: Glen Morangie, Cherry Heering, Mandarinetto, Cap Corse, Rouge, Leather - **Mona Lisa**: Earl grey infused Boatyard Double Gin, Lillet, Combier, bitters - **Milestones**: Suntory Toki, Hojicha Royal milk tea, pandan, grapefruit, lemon I’m always drawn to fancy-sounding ingredients, especially those tied to traditional Japanese cuisine. It was such a fun and classy experience that I would take anyone here. My friends and I were on a thrilling speakeasy-hopping adventure, and Angel's Share set t...

Angel's share was my 2nd speakeasy bar experience. This bar was in a Japanese restaurant, which also seemed good. Anyway, experience at this bar was amazing. Great service they made sure about seats that we liked. Although they looked busy, they made sure about water and drinks, and kept appropriate distance from us they respect our space, but at the same time they provided drinks at a great timing. The vibe was really nice moderate amount of lightening, and candle and jazz music created romantic atmospheres. And drinks were amazing. They really know what they are doing. All the ingredients of the drink was perfectly mixed and synergistically created a deep and enjoyable taste unlike other b...

I read so many wonderful reviews about this place that I had high hopes for my visit, and I was still incredibly impressed. The cocktails here are truly unique and expertly crafted, complemented by excellent service and a cozy atmosphere. You can really tell that a lot of thought has gone into creating these cocktail recipes. My friends and I sampled the Milestone (which includes milk tea—something I haven’t seen before!) and the Snow Fall, and we thoroughly enjoyed both drinks. If I had the time and money, I would happily spend the whole night trying all of their cocktails; they are that good! I plan to return to explore more of the menu. I visited on a Monday night around 8 PM and only wai...

Back to indoor seating as of fall 2021. Missed the outdoor seating where you can order Japanese bites like takoyaki and karaage from the adjacent restaurant. Parties of 4 maximum! On two separate occasions, hostess is quite direct cold which was a turnoff. That aside, cozy interior with bar and window side seating. The cocktails go for $18 and $19. Favorites are: Groovin' High: refreshing cucumber, gin based Milestone: whiskey with dominant pandan and hojicha milk tea notes. A fine substitute for dessert Smoke Gets In Your Eyes: Maker's Mark whiskey with all your senses satisfied from the smoke Papaya Friends: tequila based. Months ago it may have been thai chili instead of jalapeño (or in a... Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

It's odd that I recall leaving a review, and now it's vanished. First and foremost, I have to say that all the drinks here are mediocre at best—either overly sweet or completely bland. The atmosphere is also quite disappointing; it's loud and feels rather low-class. I've been to plenty of cocktail bars in NYC and don't mind paying $22 for a quality cocktail, but this place is, by far, the worst I've encountered at that price point.
