I ordered the fish, while my friend chose a chicken sandwich. She remarked that her sandwich tasted as if it had been fried in fish grease. The most disappointing aspect was our waiter, Jordan. After taking our orders and serving us, he spent the remainder of the time chatting and laughing with the bartender and another patron at the bar, despite the restaurant not being busy. The customer service was alright. The hostess forgot we were waiting outside to place our order, so after about 15 minutes, we decided to go back inside. Eventually, a male waiter told us to find a seat, and then took our drink orders. Unfortunately, the food took an excessively long time to arrive. I found the greens to be overly sweet, which I didn’t like at all. The catfish was decent, but I was disappointed to find only sweet pickles instead of dill pickles, which I find unappetizing. We had a wonderful time! The atmosphere was vibrant, and the staff was friendly and fun. The Brisket Flatbread is one of the best appetizers we've had—absolutely delicious! The Margarita was incredibly tasty, and they offer great house shots as well. I ordered the grilled chicken, which was perfectly cooked and came with a side of pesto. Yum! My husband tried the fish and chips, which were also cooked to perfection. The fries were simply outstanding—so delicious! The only downside for him was the tartar sauce, but he can be quite particular. Lol. We'll definitely be adding Barrelhouse to our list of go-to places for date nights!
This restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with a unique menu and outstanding customer service. Michael provided exceptional service and made excellent food and drink recommendations. The tater tots were seasoned in a way I’ve never tasted before, and the pimento cheese bites were fantastic. For dessert, I enjoyed a brownie that was the perfect conclusion to a wonderful meal. The Bloody Mary had just the right amount of spice and was generously garnished with various toppings.

We felt overlooked by a waiter after waiting more than 20 minutes. The restaurant was only half full, and although it seemed like they could benefit from an extra staff member, we noticed the same waiter attending to two other tables and taking their food orders. He didn’t engage with us after bringing our water. I hope this was just an isolated incident, as I would hate to see them continue with this level of service.
When you come in make sure you check the ketchup bottles. Brown/black around the rim. Mold!! Found this on multiple bottles when trying to find a clean one. The bottle pictured is after asking one from behind the bar still mold. Also had a weird taste. Be careful when ordering fish, tasted a little past it?s prime.

Brisket tater tot's were good. Everything else was average or a little less.. not a fan of how they season their food and our drinks ran completely dry multiple times. Probably wouldn't come back unless I was across the street like I was today. They also charge for refills on tea..

Atmosphere, food, service this place has it all! This is definitely one place that everyone who visits Jackson should come. The portions are nice for the price, and you can tell the food is cooked with love. Definitely will be coming back.
Nice place but they were understaffed so service was quite slow. However, the staff were all friendly. The food was quite good and we will return some time.
