We were really looking forward to our visit here for my Birthday as had seen previous reviews re the restaurant. Arrived on time to be left waiting at reception no meet and greet and stood there for ten minutes. Finally acknowledged by young male staff member to be told that there was no staff at the premises to cook our meal !!! It was then we noticed that customers already seated were not eating or drinking and were starting to leave. When we asked when they would be arriving we were told he did not know and had no idea when we would be able to be served, this is totally unacceptable. We wasted our time travelling to the venue and would have appreciated a call to advise us of the issue as...
As soon as we arrived we were asked... drinks and poppadoms yes please. That 's when it all massively went down hill. We had to wait for some weird season to order our mains. After asking 5 times can we please order now they just kept on saying 'yes and pointing to another part of the room. I just couldn 't understand why they kept on walking past looking at us. Finally when the food arrived it was under cooked and warm. My main was border line cool. This has most certainly gone down hill. It use to be a lovely curry place. The restaurant was empty, but the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the food was extremely spicy, causing half of our group to leave before the main courses. The lamb tikka was so hot that it left my tongue burning. We should have stuck to our usual choice of Heswall Tandoori.
Confession....I am a regular custommer, but that speaks volumes of how good this restaurant and its staff are. Recently introduced a special menu to compliment the standard. A catch up with family and friends lead us to this amazing restaurant. Outstanding service and even better food. Good value for money and plenty of food for money. We had a great night here.
Title says it all, wonderful visit...amazing food and very attentive staff. Food came.out really quick and the family naan was a sight to behold. Will definitely be coming back!!!
I have noticed that this place improves every time we visit! It is family-run with amazing staff, and the chefs are brought in daily from Manchester. The food is truly exquisite.
