This restaurant looks lovely and the service was ok.Food was a major disappointment.Started off with a garlic bread. This was when I knew I was in trouble. The garlic bread was straight from Coles freezer section for sure. Awful. There was no way this was made in house.Pizza, also really poor. Like a poor home made pizza. Pastry was poor, as were the toppings. Can't really say much more. Definitely would not return. Dissapointed as I wanted to try this place for ages as it looked very nice.
Basilico is a large restaurant with a menu that hasn't changed in many many years. You can easily get better quality pizza elsewhere. With a prominent location it's mainstay customer base go there primarily because " it's easy."We had a slightly overcooked margherita pizza with burnt cheese on the top. The salad was rocket with shaved parmesan that had wilted rocket and parmesan that appeared to be store bought.The service was great and always with a smile.
We went on a Saturday night. Just as well we had made a booking as this restaurant was full with diners and making pizzas etc for take away. Being a family restaurant and around 7 pm, there were plenty of children. All in all very noisy but that was to be expected. The service was very good - friendly and efficient. The antipasto platter was OK as were the various pizzas we shared. Prices were moderate.
This very large restaurant serves plain food that all tastes very similar. The serves are very large (too large) and the service is patchy. We were paying our bill and stacking our own plates before they were moved. The price point is high for what it is and you can do a lot better for your spend in the locale. Ordered via uber eats. The suganaki cheese which cost $12.00 was small in size and dry. We also ordered 2 pizzas with special instructions via the app. The special instructions were ignored. All in all $64 for some cheese and 2 pizzas delivered it was dissapointing in terms of value for money
No complaints with the food or the atmosphere. Very popular with families on a Thursday night! Unlike Ricardo's across the road, no pretensions here.
I have visited Basilico a few times now and it's quality has been consistent. Great food and very reasonably priced. Excellent customer service.
