Wow where do I start this was the most different yet amazing meal out in a Indian restaurant we’ve ever had,the location is very nice a quiet village the restaurant from the outside looks like a pub as you go in it looks a lot smaller than what it actually appears but lovely to look at.We were greeted by a waiter and from the looks he was or is the only front of house staff but wow the most polite and friendly man you’ve ever met and I mean no disrespect but his English is better than most English people, he took us to our table there were 6 off us and 2 are regular’s it was on there recommendation we went and I didn’t regret it at all the only regret was not going before but anyway we got o...
I highly recommend this Indian restaurant. The food is authentic and delicious. The atmosphere is lovely and friendly, and the manager is extremely knowledgeable and passionate. It was a pleasure to chat with him and learn about his family business. He went out of his way to accommodate our needs, even creating custom dishes for us. The decor is a bit dated and the sound system could be better for ambience, but I assume they are working on improving these things after a recent accident at the building. Thank you again, we will definitely be back soon!
I had made a reservation for a meal at this restaurant and arrived ready to enjoy our evening. However, when we got there, the waiter informed us that our table had been cancelled due to an overbooking in the system. There was no apology given, and when we asked why we hadn't been contacted earlier, the waiter claimed to have tried but there were no emails or messages left. We were made to feel foolish and the waiter's attitude was rude and arrogant. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, not even my enemies, let alone my friends.
We went to Basmati on my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. We were given such a special experience when Sol found out we were celebrating and his thoughtful touches really enhanced our evening together with, as always, a wonderful meal served piping hot and adapted to suit our individual tastes. But it’s not just when celebrating; we are made to feel special every time we go to Basmati and the standard and flavour of the food is always of the highest quality. I visited with my friend Beth on Wednesday 16th November. We had such an amazing experience given by Sol where we received service we have never had before elsewhere. He was chatty, attentive and went above and beyond as he listened to us and created us both dishes based around what we fancied and what love in a curry. The food was amazing, service outstanding, will be back soon. Thank you Sol!
I visited with my friend Bex, Wednesday 16th November. We had such a welcoming experience, even when we mentioned we had a tastecard. Sol treated us like Queens! He even listened to what we love in a curry and created a new dish based around what we fancied. Its called the Bex special Amazing. All the food was extremely delicious, and great portions. Will be back ASAP!
Invest in your business and upgrade your business decor You have great staff and decent food but it all looks broken . Food ok service good . Would only return if they upgrade restaurant .

Had a takeaway on a Saturday night, paid for lamb tikka and it was just lamb, paid over £40 for a couple of dishes and they weren’t great, i won’t be returning
