Batesy’s BBQ and Bar was the ideal place for lunch after our three-mile walk along the boardwalk. As first-time visitors, we chose Batesy’s, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. Gerard welcomed us right away with a warm smile, and both he and Chris provided us with outstanding service. We ordered the Batesy’s Beach Box, which was more than enough food for three people and offered great value. While the corn on the cob could have been cooked a bit longer, the cornbread, brisket, chicken, and St. Louis ribs were absolutely delicious! The food had a soft texture and was edible, but lacked any real taste. It seemed that the same cut used for the ribs was also used for the pulled pork, which is not how it should be prepared. The corn, sprinkled with paprika and butter, tasted fresh but was quite oily, leaving it lacking in flavor. The cornbread was loaded with corn and butter—very buttery—but also had no flavors beyond that. The fries were soggy and did not have that fresh, crunchy bite.
The meal arrived at room temperature at best; it is currently summer, and despite that, the delivery was prompt and on time.
I absolutely love this place! If you're looking for a high-quality restaurant, don't hesitate to visit. The food and drinks are expertly crafted and delicious, making you want to return time and time again. Their Henny Coladas are amazing, as are their jumbo wings. The atmosphere is both elegant and relaxing—definitely a spot I'll keep returning to for nice dinners. The staff is incredibly professional and attentive, checking in to ensure you're enjoying your experience.
I visited this restaurant once and was genuinely impressed. The menu is full of fantastic and delicious options. You should definitely stop by for some great dishes. I had the chicken sandwich and fries, which were simply delicious and fresh. The prices are reasonable too. Eating in was enjoyable, as I got to try their frozen mixed cocktails and other mixed drinks. Overall, it's definitely a place you should visit!

I waited over 30 minutes for a BBQ sandwich at this restaurant, and it wasn’t even busy at the time. To make matters worse, they got my order wrong. I can only imagine how chaotic it must be when there are more customers. I would rate this place just 1 star. I definitely recommend avoiding it if you can.

The best BBQ food I've had in a long time! I highly recommend the St. Louis ribs. The drinks were fantastic as well; the Henny Colada is the perfect summer refreshment!
I tried the food from there for the first time, and I was pleased with everything I ordered. I plan to return to explore more of their menu.
