**Positives:** The service was excellent, the portion sizes were decent, and the main course wasn't awful. The oysters were good, although quite overpriced. The fish I ordered was acceptable, especially with the added lump crab. **Negatives:** The Royal Reds shrimp were more like Joker Pinks—definitely not royal at all. I could have found better-sized and cleaned shrimp at Winn-Dixie. The bisque lacked flavor, and the drinks were weak, even after I pointed out that they were mostly mixer. One of the steaks had to be sent back because it was very undercooked; it was definitely medium rare instead of medium well. Labor Day weekend and an 8 top, so maybe write it off as a bad/busy day. But: entrees came out 1.5 hours after seated. 2 hours and I couldn’t even get a beer ordered. Royal red bisque had no shrimp in it. Steamed seafood was cold and soggy and pretty skimpy on serving. Half a crab and 5 shrimp. I ordered a po-boy, it came out cold, and they couldn’t even dress it right. Bread sucked too. We opted to try a new restaurant, but it felt like they should have just closed their doors instead. The atmosphere was reminiscent of a place from a National Lampoon movie—completely outdated. The food was mediocre at best; nothing stood out as special or memorable. It's definitely a spot to grab a quick bite if you're looking for a break from gambling, but that's about it. We tried the spinach dip, stuffed shrimp, surf and turf, and red velvet cake, and they were all just okay. This place really needs an upgrade in both its menu and ambiance!
The experience was quite underwhelming. The food was mediocre, and the decor felt outdated, reminiscent of the 1970s. I left feeling disappointed and regretting that I had to pretend it was good for my in-laws, who covered the bill. My blackened redfish was overcooked; they should know that "blackened" doesn't equate to being charred or burnt. Overall, it was an overpriced meal. I would recommend avoiding this place if you can. Ive wanted to eat here for months. We had the special which had tons of crab legs and peel and eat shrimp. If the 2 corn on the cob I only ate part of one, had 3 potatoes I didn't even get to. Stuffed so took home key lime pie which was divine. Highly recommend. Parking: There is a golf cart with attendant to bring guests to the door if needed. Service: Dine in
