This restaurant is a little gem in the middle of nowhere! On our drive to Rainier, we wanted to stop somewhere for dinner and decided on Morton because there were a few more options that would be open within our travel time. We decided on Rivers as the ambiance looked interesting and they had decent reviews. I think they need more better than decent reviews because we loved this place! The lady at the bar was the server and the only person in the cafe. So we pretty much had the whole cafe to ourselves. This place has my heart. Very cute and well maintained local coffee shop. The staff is very friendly, the food is nice plus the atmosphere is best. You get to enjoy usual restaurants like tables, plus sofas around the fireplace, a quiet library space, fun kids room, a piano and guitar to play! We loved this place. Free and Very CLEAN restrooms available. Free wifi, Free parking available on the streets but may be a bit difficult since the place is in downtown. Food quality: 5/5 Value for money: 5/5
The food was amazing. I'm glad we stopped. It was less than 20 minutes and we already got our food. So good. Great atmosphere and service. The Chicken sandwich is a must try! It was super juicy and delicious. The turkey sandwich was okay. I bet it would be better with a different choice of bread. The flavor was still good. The bread was thicker though. The coffee was good too!
Great tasting soup they have there! it was some corn clam chowder the best I like the best! The atmosphere around their is great the coffee they have is also great too they don't have a french vanilla creamer so they have been adding a hazelnut shot to my coffee to make it have that French vanilla taste really good ??

Stopped here on the way to mount rainier (from Ohio!! and it definitely exceeded expectations! The food tasted great, good portions, and it has a very cute relaxing atmosphere! Definitely try their avalanche frappe!!
Stopped on our way to Mt. Rainier and everyone in our group loved it! There weren’t a ton of options for breakfast but I wanted to try everything. The coffee/espresso was also some of the best I’ve had
