I have mixed feelings. Sometimes when we go everything is great, and sometimes we go and everything is terrible. It's very 50/50 for us...so on good days, its great and the staff is nice and the food is good...sometimes its just the opposite. I will say it usually gets very busy, and when that happens, it's uncomfortable. Last time I was there, there were WAY too many people packed in. We were at a bar top table and there were so many people packed in it was standing room only. I kept elbowing people just trying to eat my food....
Been eating at this place for years, it is a great place to load up on good old southern cooking, generally the place is very crowded and sometimes there is a few minute wait. The menu is varied and there are daily specials along with drinks. Wait staff is polite and accommodating as for the ambience it is typical of a Mom and Pops. Try the Liver and onions, for my buddy and I, it's a special treat. Our wives like the chicken parmigiana. This a place to put on your bucket list.
I view this restaurant as an upscale dining spot that offers a wide variety of comfort food alongside a bar. While the wine selection may not be impressive, the atmosphere is great for enjoying good company and a satisfying meal. The prices are reasonable, and there's ample parking available. I dined in for dinner, and I would estimate the cost per person to be around $20–30.
They close early, so head over there earlier. The wings are great and they are not tiny, which is nice! First time having garlic butter as a sauce, and it was good. The food here is simple yet absolutely delicious. You can really taste the difference between their fresh ingredients and the frozen options found elsewhere. I highly recommend this restaurant!
