The Bears Den is BY FAR.. and I cant say BY FAR enough... the best and most consistently good food in Charleston WV hands down. When you get a great meal here you will get it every time you come period. It wont be overcooked one day, fatty the next, raw the next. Without a doubt the most consistently phenomenal food in the city coming from people who eat and support everywhere in Charleston. The most rock solid location if the menu is a fit hands down.

I'm not sure why this place would have a 4.6? We stopped in for lunch while driving home from North Carolina. The chili is just average. The grilled chicken, seemed like it was precooked (maybe boiled) and thrown on the flattop to warm up. I'd recommend driving past and not stopping.
We enjoyed our 50th High School Reunion there and the food staff were amazing! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We loved the food and atmosphere. I think the 4.6 rating might be due to this being a clean and squirrelled-away bar. But my visit found all soda out, and the menu listed things not in stock. It looks like it could be really good, but my experience was not very good.
I really enjoyed eating at this cozy, local spot. It was in a strange location but well marked and easily found. The staff was very nice and the food was super reasonably priced for how good it was! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
