With a beer selection the likes of none I've seen this far in Queens, NY yea I grew up fast on the suds I suppose, the beer community is a fun place to stay and be merry. Beers from around the tilty globe with pictures of historic monasteries and a sourpatch dude look alike, stuck in a TV, smoking a cigarette. I felt like I was in Moscow or Alaska, minus the highway robbery price gouging. (I hear they like to tip a few over there in Putin's Land). There's a wall with a huge number of singles to make four or six packs from and take it as far as you want to, but that kinda reckless mixing can potentially lead to an exploding morning head. I wanted a beer place large enough for many varieties, but small enough to have attentive service. Enter Beer Town! As you can see in the pic of some of the beers I brought home, there is a wide array of craft beers of all types, plus the more established brands. And I was greeted and helped the moment I walked in the store from being shown the area where certain brands of beer were on the shelves, to being given appropriate holders for what I needed to carry, to being told to take my time as I browsed. I'd definitely recommend buying the individualized 6 pack of your choice from the 15% off rack, especially if you're up for trying new varieties or are not sure exactly what you might like. E...
The absolute best beer store in NYC. They have an awesome selection of beer. Very clean and organized which makes it easy to find what you are looking for Be sure to sample what they have on tap. They have decently priced growlers for purchase. Very knowledgeable owner and staff. Definitely the place to go if you want to try something new. Dear Beer Town, You guys are the best. Worth the haul on public transit. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff all around. Great, great selection in beers. Huge pro: being able to buy cans/bottles as singles, or taking advantage of their '15% off, build your own 6-pack from the loose singles ' section. My personal plus points being (1) the availability of upstate brews from Roscoe Beer Co, and (2) the Finback latte stout on draft! Damn, this is a first stout to haunt me. I don't usually review here, but the owner of this place deserves it most. The best selection in craft beer with the best discounts and reward systems around. A true master of the craft, she put the customers first and spreads the fun out into the craft brew community that we love while giving access to the best that local craft beer has to offer. Every time I pop into the shop it's a warm welcome with lots of knowledge of the latest releases, and hot new items on the shelves. I've been coming here for years and highly recommend this place to anyone who loves good locally brewed beer.
i've been a client of beer town for over 10 years. I love the rustic look inside and the wooden floors. I find beer town's employees and owners to be incredibly kind and considerate to their customers. please know there is parking in the back and they will be more than happy to show you where it is. Their prices are compatible to other places in the neighborhood and their selection is large and their beer is definitely cold. Beer town has been in the neighborhood for a long time and I hope it stays.
Amazing selection of local craft brews and imported beers. The staff is extremely knowledgeable in what they carry and they frequently get in new beers from the local breweries. The place is clean and well kept and they have a great rewards program for repeat customers. This place is my go to and I'm never been disappointed in all the years that I've been a customer. P.S. They also have a stock of craft beers you won't find anywhere else
My last visit was I believe the fourth time I've been there. On two visits I've asked the staff for help with finding what I was looking for they were super helpful while remaining friendly. They have a HUGE selection of beers they also have a humidor stocked with a decent amount of cigars! I love these place. If you are in the area and need a beer run look no further! Excellent craft beer selection as well as a large inventory of macro brews. Staff is knowledgeable and like to help customers who may be newer to craft beer. Prices are reasonable. Nice selection of limited release single can beers as well. You can also create your own six pack with the single cans (and there's a nice discount on these).
