This has been worst experience I have had so far at a Benihana. Is the second time I've been at this location. The cook show very poor skills and knowledge about the food preparation. I request my rice to be a bit more cooked since not even the egg was well cooked and you could see it without touch in it, whiteout any response from him. My food was a seafood Diablo which is spicy. The cook just put a little bit of hot sauce on it and left at a corner without mixing it. I told him how I want it cooked as well, but he totally ignore me and was about to serve it on my plate, but I told him I didn't want it. Worst chef of all in my 35 yrs of Benihana experience! I had visited Benihana for the mother's day dinner with my whole family just 10 days ago, and we had such a good time enjoying delicious food and great service Today, we went back to celebrate my husband's birthday, but unfortunately, we had the worst chef of all in my 35 yrs of Benihana experience! The chef needs to be better trained: His hands were too slow to cook on the hotplate in front of the guests for tepanyaki, so all the foods were overcooked, charred, and dry to the point that I couldn't eat them. He forgot to serve the appetizer shrimps before the main; forgot to sprinkle the lemon juice on the seafoods; kept dropping the gar...
We were a large party, to the point we had to be split among two tables. Half our party arrived early, including my elderly mom in a wheelchair. They wouldn 't seat our partial party until the rest arrived. Being adjacent to our other party, it was easy to compare... they got their drinks, soup and salad sooner than us. Our service was consistently slower than our other table. The dinner show didn 't disappoint, as always. It 's great to celebrate a special occasion. Just don 't be in a hurry.
I made a reservation for 9:45pm and wasn't seated until 10:30pm after asking the hostess about our reservation she stated they had 9:30 reservations that were still not seated! Finally after being seated the waiter was very rude, he came by the table once 2x during the entire meal and didn't refill my drink once! The food was way too salty and we ended up eating at 11:45pm! I booked this reservation for a Mother's Day celebration. When we came to check in, the hostess told us they were behind on reservations and that we would have to wait 20-30 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes they told us we were 8th in line and had to wait another 30 minutes. We waited over an hour to be seated and that was with a reservation. I was very disappointed in the lack of organization.
The food, cook/chef and wait staff were wonderful. Unfortunately, I had to wait 1 1/2 hours my table, even though I had a reservation. The reception area just did not know what to say for the long delay except people were "lingering after their meal. May reconsider returning.
The staff went out of their way for my son that wasn't feeling well. I had asked for a side of rice to hold him before we got seated and the hostess was able to accommodate us with a side of rice. The person making our food was excellent. We definitely enjoyed ourselves.

I understand when you are busy. However, no soups, no sauces, portions less than the table next to us. Just was not a good experience one normally gets at Benihana. Won't be back to this location again.
