The family and I went to Aberdeen just to see what was going on. (NOT MUCH) So we decided to go to West Port. Having traveled an hour and a half we were a bit hungry. We asked a local in West Port what is the best fish and chip's place to eat. Bennett's was their answer. So off we went in search of Bennett's. We found it and there was parking right in front. I have to say, I'm really glad the first restaurant we stopped at was out of clam chowder. We continued on until we discovered this hidden gem, and wow, was it a great find! The clam chowder was some of the best I've ever had—rich and creamy, bursting with flavor. The fish and chips were also exceptional; it's been a while since I've had such delicious fish and chips that practically melted in my mouth. I must also give a shout-out to the person who took our order. She suggested we try the fried cheese curds, and agreeing to that was probably one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. Bennett's is a fish shack on the pier/main strip. This is probably the best food in town. Super quick, made to order and fresh, amazing and friendly service, and delicious food. It is on the pricier side but not by much, although the portion sizes are very big. They get extremely busy most parts of the day, but food comes out so fast you barely realize it. They allow dogs and kids inside so its a win for everyone. Couldn't recommend this more if you're in Westport near the marina.
In the past it has been 5 stars, this time 6 stars. My better half had halibut, 2 thumbs up. I had the clam strips, more clams then usual. Both were cooked to perfection, plus I traveled hours out of my to eat there. I have done this in the past, this is not my first time eating here. I even drove down during covid to eat. It was packed when we went but the service was great and we got our food quickly!! I had the cod combo which came with 2 beautifully breaded pieces of cod, the most amazing clam strips I've ever had and fries. The tartar and cocktail sauce were perfect!!! My kids all had clam chowder and they loved it. Highly recommend!! But be prepared to spend a bit. My combo was 19.99. I went with my mom and my 3 kids and the bill was most 80 dollars.
Wow! Ok first off, a little pricey, but well worth it. The clam chowder was fantastic. The fish perfectly fried. The fries well seasoned and yummy. Their tarter and cocktail sauce was the best I have ever had. Also they had some soda that was not your normal coke or Pepsi, it was to die for! Over all would highly recommend
I can't express enough how wonderful this restaurant is—everything here is simply outstanding! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5. I highly recommend trying the Fish and Chips, the Cod and Clam Strips with Fries combo, and of course, the seafood and fries.
The clam chowder was excellent! The grilled salmon was flavorful, but it could have been served warmer. While it didn’t taste as fresh as we had hoped—probably because there was fresh fish being sold just across the street—I'm still giving it a five-star rating overall. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Fantastic service, generous portion sizes, and a pleasant atmosphere. Enjoying a meal on the deck was lovely. However, I found the clam chowder to be somewhat bland. Prices felt a bit on the higher side, but the large portions made it a fair value.
