I've eaten here three times and although it's undeniably a quality restaurant, I fail to see why people like it as much as they do; I really don't like the dining room, it seems dingy and lacks atmosphere. I always feel like I'm gatecrashing someone's home when arriving, weird vibe, not negative just odd. The salmon tartare is a dish that seems very popular but for me it's busy and has too many capers and too much mayo. The steak I had was all dressed up with fois gras and other unnecessary accompaniments that detract from what a steak is supposed to be. In fact all the meals I've had here were fussy and didn't really know what they wanted to be; too many ingredients all vying for your palle...
not to rely on the exterior appearance. Be curious and push the door...Home very pleasant and very class of the boss who leads you to your table. And from there the festival of flavors begins, with the competent support of the staff regarding the choice of wines, and that of a discreet and efficient service.Bref, that of the very good, always only elaborated from fresh products and - of course - of season...Courez-y !!!
back from vacation looking for a place to lunch, we leave the highway and we discover this restaurant whose facade a little "kitch" we intrigues. Warm, pleasant,menus welcome at reasonable prices for such a refined cuisine, the products are of qualities, the plates shown the impeccable service. We'll be back,bravo to the whole team.

The dishes are fine and copyy! very good times fat, but too copyy in input. The fish, sandy, was good but we smell too much vinegar in the sauce. The rest, nothing to say, is a restaurant to recommend.

c is my favorite restaurant on châtellerault. The reception is nice. the server connoisseurs his card whether it's menus or wines. The card is different every time I go. every meal, I get satisfied and my husband too because he's pretty dazzling on the restaurants that say they're refined
W were expecting more of a fine dinning experience when we looked at the menu. The menu over sells what you actually receive on the plate. Service is friendly and polite.
I've dinered many times in this restaurant as well as the woods .a solid reference a foie gras has finally taken away a real chef's cuisine.
I have eaten here on many occasions. Never disappointed. Great food Chez Bernard, great service and fanbloodytastic wines!

Very disappointing restaurant: the kitchen and the decor date from the 1970s ... it's good, but old, and expensive.
excellent cuisine, impeccable service. but do not forget to book long in advance because it is often complete.
