After visiting the Ainsworth Hot sources next to Betty O's, we called to check their All Day breakfast before we go on, and were certainly satisfied that we did. The very novel way of converting an old school bus is an attraction to... its own rights. We were very cordially available from Betty .and on the pancakes from the All Day Breakfast selection. Serve a very generous portion at a very attractive cost of $6 a. A nice cup of coffee took it off. A very relaxed and pleasant breakfast in a pleasant environment. There are a number of Mexican dishes that could be enjoyed at any time of the day. Can be highly recommended to stop when you pass.
I typically have dinner at the Hot Springs Lodge, but couldn't this year due to the increased prices. I was pleased to discover a new option, Betty O's. I enjoyed a full Mexican meal with dessert for a much lower price than a salad at the lodge. The food was tasty and the owner was very welcoming. The cafe is located in a converted school bus with outdoor seating, which I found charming. It is conveniently situated between my hotel and the Hot Springs, making it a perfect addition to Ainsworth.
I had the pleasure of trying Betty O's food in the afternoon and even went back for breakfast twice. The service was super friendly and the food, while simple, was of high quality. Everything was made fresh right in front of us and the food truck/school bus was clean and well-maintained. They even have an Italian espresso machine so you can enjoy a delicious cappuccino after your meal. I highly recommend checking it out!

This is our favorite restaurant in the Kootenays for casual Mexican restaurants. They also serve a large homemade soup in the cooler months. Look at the right school bus kitchen. Take kids to the rest!
The small-town food truck offers excellent food at affordable prices with a diverse, international menu that rivals big city establishments. The service was outstanding and the food was even better.
