Some of the best comfort food I’ve had! I’m originally from NC, so I’m used to down home cooking on the regular. I’ve been out of state for several years and was visiting Columbia. I wanted something that “felt like home” without going all the way home. This place definitely satisfied my tastebuds along with the hospitality. My only recommendation to anyone who eats here is to wait until you get home to eat if you can stand it, unless you don’t mind messy eating in your vehicle ? 10/10 would recommend!
So Hey guys, I called in an order today at 1:40, I waited for 2 hours for a text to tell me my food was ready, mind you I'm calling in between several times no answer, then finally someone answers and says did you get a text I said No, I had to keep calling. Kids crying in the car because they are hungry, I was their waiting on food long before they would be starving!! Don't you know these people still wanted me to pay for cold food!!
Yesterday after church was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I must admit, it was absolutely AMAZING ? The food was so perfectly seasoned, and the taste was out of this world. Everyone who works there was so nice and kind. From the macaroni to the collard greens everything was on POINT! And let’s not forget the million dollar pound cake. I will definitely be a frequent visitor to this establishment.
The service was quite good despite the restaurant being busy. I ordered the baked chicken along with mac and cheese, cabbage, and green beans, and it was enjoyable. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find a decent meal these days, as many restaurants mainly serve junk food. When I got home, I warmed up the food and plated it nicely. I visited for the first time with my spouse and ordered a meal. I had the 6-piece drummettes served with white rice, gravy, cabbage, and macaroni and cheese, along with smothered chops with white rice, macaroni and cheese, and yams. Everything was incredibly delicious! I would rate it a solid 10/10, and we will definitely be coming back.
I would call ahead to order. Only 3 people allowed in building at a time. I was really excited to try this place as the community was hyping it up, but was a little run of the mill and very greasy. Would go back to try a dinner instead of wings for lunch.
Delicious food first time trying and will be back. I had the smothered pork chop rice gravy corn cabbage. With two hot dogs. Reasonable price and a lot of food they give.
