Having heard rave reviews and loving good BBQ, tried 'em the other day around 6:45 p.m., ordering a wide array of Items... Carry-out appears to be the norm with waiting outside in your Auto, Call-In is surely advised..or..options to sit outside or slim options to even sit inside... I 've had epic BBQ, I 've had awesome BBQ, I 've had great BBQ, I 've had tolerable BBQ, I make great BBQ, I 've made tolerable BBQ, I 've made terrible BBQ and now, the Worst... The (2 supposed St. Louis Ribs that were surely big-boned Spare Ribs cut down with the Knuckles in the box as well which is okay. They almost seemed to have been boiled aforehand(? before being thrown on a Grill in a Smoker for some color...
Been a long time.Food was good.But it was also a long time last time I ordered there. And I mean long time as in people laid their car seats back for a nap.Had I known the food would have taken as long as it did I would have brought a hammock, or an Adirondack or mayhaps a tent and an inflatable mattress.. it was around 2 hours on-site waiting...I know big bull says what he says. But I'm not all about waiting forever to eat when there are other locally owned BBQ restaurants that are actually GRATEFUL to see me walk in the door amd turn orders in a relatively short order..Every time Ive tried the bull I feel like I've inconvenienced them by my very desire to order..Love the food, not worth th...
I received a warm welcome as I entered the restaurant with the smell of smoked BBQ. It was a delicious smell. Since it was my first time, I wanted to try the famous brisket. The owner rang up my order and suggested the sauces. I had fried green tomatoes and Mac and cheese with my brisket sandwich. When the meal came out, it looked absolutely delicious. The brisket was a little dry so I ordered more sauces to dip the sandwich on which made up for it. The tomatoes we got and juicy, not over breaded. The Mac and cheese was like homemade; just the way I like it with a toasted top. I really enjoyed my meal. I highly recommend the establishment and you can buy a T-shirt too!
The food was definitely Bangin! My best friend highly recommended this place to me so we went to check it out. The parking lot has about 10 parks but I noticed 2-3 cars parked along the street so I guess that's an option too. Their menu is set up differently so you create your own platter. Everything is a la carte. I ended up getting 2 Pork Ribs, a Fried Pork Chop and fried okras. Everything was Delicious!!! They were pretty busy in there too and yet the customer service was still A1. This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I found the owner to be very kind and helpful. I ordered a hash and rice, BBQ chicken, BBQ beans, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread, which came to a total of $55. Just a heads-up: everything is à la carte. The food was decent, but I didn't feel it was worth the price I paid. Additionally, I had to wait an hour and 15 minutes for my meal, which they mentioned is typical since it's not fast food (something to keep in mind).
Y'all. We were raised on Lexington NC style BBQ, and aren't easily swayed to SC spots. But this one, the smoke outside hits you in the face and the flavors can't be beat. The ribs were thick and tender, baked potato was exactly what I was looking for, and my daughter loved her wings. The sauces are perfect. Do yourself a huge favor and order the peach cobbler after. It was so good we didn't get a photo, we ate it too fast!
This is an underrated gem of a restaurant. Always friendly and professional service. A clean and welcoming environment. But, most of all, some of the best tasting bbq around. Nice proportions and pricing is appropriate. Peach cobbler is simply legendary. Pull pork, pork ribs, and chicken were top tier. Sides of Mac n cheese, collard greens, and baked beans remind you of great home cooking. This is a must visit restaurant.
We visited a local BBQ restaurant and everyone had a great time. The only downside is that it primarily offers takeout. The menu focuses on ordering by the pound. We all enjoyed our selections, which included pulled pork, a pork sandwich, a brisket sandwich, and hash and rice. This place exceeded our expectations!!!! We had wings, briskets, ribs, a burger, Mac n cheese, collard greens, coleslaw, and baked beans. Everything was excellent including the service! We don’t live in the area but if we ever come through town again, we will definitely be stopping by!
