We were on a long drive and I had a family of very hungry teens in the car. They wanted fish and chips. We saw a small sign that said Halibut and Chips so we stopped. We did not check Trip Advisor.....note to self (always check Trip Advisor)....We entered and it was odd and a bit confusing - the front was divided and it looked like the fish area was at the front and and the back the pizza area. It was oddly staggered. We wanted fish so we went into the fish area and stood and waited. Nobody came..... Nobody said anything even though he knew we were standing there. The customer service seems to be nice and polite. The food was $41 for frozen halibut battered in their special batter, 1 fry, 1 Onion ring, pizza slice and a poutine. The fries had a different interesting bad flavor possibly burnt or the vats weren't cleaned. The onion rings tasted horrible like they came from the freezer. They don't use fresh fish like other places so expect a Captain High Liner frozen fish type flavor and the batter had a high garlic flavor which was kind of strange. The pizza crust supposedly changed after many bad reviews and its not that much better. You can pretty much taste the crust and you can't taste much of the toppings. Had a trailer at beaver narrows for many years and always got our pizzas at Bill's because they were loaded with toppings and the crust was delicious. ...Finally made a return trip 5 years after we sold our trailer and it was horrible! The crust was not a pizza crust. .It was more like a bisquik crust that was dry and crumbly. .What a total ripoff! I paid twenty four dollars for a medium supposedly "specia" pizza that wasn't as good as a frozen three dollar pizza. ...I'm a big fan of patronizing small town businesses but Bill you dropped the ball on this one terribly! ...YOU GET 0 OUT OF 5!
Let me start off with reviewing the food.It's awful.I mean more than just bad, it borders on abuse to serve it to customers.The pizza is stale, and the other offerings are just as bad.The owner is an abysmally cheap individual with a serious chip on his shoulder.If you buy fish and chips, expect to pay extra for tartar sauce or even a slice of lemon.oh, and he even has a minimum order requirement to use his bathroom. I live in omemee and have eaten at bills many times. While hes never been rude to me I have witnessed him be rude to several others. The prices he charges keep going up and the food quality is going down. Because of this I have started making my own pizza and wings which is better and way more affordable. Wont be ordering pizza from there ever again!
Great staff! Quick service, small seating area, Two outdoor picnic tables makes the seating better in the summer. Good spot for walkers & bikers on the Trans Canada Trail to stop for food & drinks. Good spot for travelers who want good food and want to get back on the road, quickly! Closed Mondays!
GReat service and appreciation for my takeout order for 5 meals... The fish and chips smelled delicious and the Greek wrap I had was wonderful! Small but ecclectic eat in area adds to the home town feel! Definitely going back for the fish and chips next time!
Cant say enough good stuff about bills! The staff are great people. The place is very clean and comforting and the food is awesome!! The breaded wings r amazing (a must try) the pizza is great aswell as the burgers and fish. Definitely would recommend it.☺ Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We have ordered take out pizza only, it is ready at the promised time - hot and fresh from the oven and reasonably priced. The flavour of the crust and sauce are both good. It's a dense crust and generous toppings, so it doesn't take much to be full.
