I decided to try this restaurant based on a co-worker's recommendation.Location: This restaurant is pretty much in the center of Belfort, in a street perpendicular to the Faubourg de France, not far from the Sadi Carnot bridge, which crosses the Savoureuse river, and a short walk from the pedestrian area on Fbg de France. From the train station, it's about a 10-15 walk.Quality: the restaurant is a Belgian brasserie style, serving mussels in a wide variety of sauces, as well as some meat and poultry dishes, salads, desserts, and daily specials. I chose on of said specials, a "Cote de Boeuf", a nice 300gr steak for 20 euros! It was served with fries and a salad. Very nice, cooked to my liking....
I have been to the Bistrot des Moines at least a dozen of time. I take friends and co-workers regularly when they come to Belfort. Never been disappointed. Great choice of draft and bottled beers (belgium, ale, lager) and food is always good especially the meat that you cook on the hot plate. The place isn't big and gets packed quickly at nights, it's good idea to make a reservation if you plan to dine in.Staff speak some English and would help you with your orders, and would come regularly to check if you are in need of anything. What could be better? Beer prices may be a little bit high, over 6 euros a pint, but I guess this is a crazy world we are living in, shame on you if you don't earn...
Decided to pop in here after an evening meal elsewhere / it was busy with people at tables and the bar - managed to get some bar stools at the bar - the service was quick - the section of drinks was very good prices where pretty good - the food that I saw coming out to people's tables looked good - next visit I might give a go - especially the Steak that you cook yourself at your table. Overall very good pub style place one of the more busier places in Belfort - good place for a catch up over some nice beers. Definitely recommend a visit.
This is a french style pub. Pub interior but lost of people drinking wine and the food is much nice than a standard UK pub. I had the steak that you cook to your own liking on a hot stone. Really good fun and very tasty too.

This is not a gourmet restaurant but a great bistro. We had mussels, French fries and beer and more than we could eat. It delivers well against expectations. Good value for money as well. Definitely a place where to return !
This place is mainly a pub - only a small part of it is for eating, and you should reserve in advance. I just had a salad which was really fresh, good dressing, and decent size. Recommended!
On vacation in Belfort, I stopped unexpectedly at this bistro with a wide choice of beer and a warm atmosphere that even thought of serving drinks to our animal friends. Really great.
Its a very good place...we took mussels which were delicious. Anyway, watch out with the opening hours, because although its open until late, no food is served beyond 22h
