Had cocktails at the bar and diner after that, last Thursday at Blackbird for a very special occasion, as my parents came over to visit me from the Netherlands. Although the staff couldn't promise me a bridge-view-table when making the reservation, we ended up at an excellent table WITH the full bridge-view after all. I'm very sorry to have forgotten the name of our waiter, because he was absolutely marvellous (a tall, beautifully bald man). He was clearly informed about the importance for me of having my parents here and he treated them as if they were royalty, absolute class all around. Booked a table for my partner and I for his birthday and we had a magnificent time. The staff were very professional and accommodating from the time we walked in from outside, being shown to our table, the wait staff at the table and by all the staff as we were leaving. The food was brilliant by far the best wagyu I have ever had. We both had sides, mains and martinis and bill was just shy of $140.00 brilliantly priced with food to die for. The atmosphere was great, the decor was even better and the staff were the best. Tables were cleared quickly and drinks were topped up just about after every sip. Absolutely loved it and will most definitely be back.
