We popped into this restaurant unexpectedly on a Sunday after checking out their menu on the board. Chef/owner is Irish and it's a family concern. I loved the seafood chowder they served, it was not your run of the mill chowder. The muscles opened but still in the shell, as tender as the large pieces of seafood in the bowl. The service consistant and friendly. This is a small restaurant with seating inside and out onto the esplanade. It is surrounded by somewhat larger and noisier restaurants, but we are convinced we made the right choice.
Having read in the Gold Coast Bulletin that this was one of the top 10 places to have eggs benedict on the Gold Coast, we decided to try it. EEK. How can anyone even begin to be rated when they use bottled hollandaise ? Its more like mayonnaise, totally NOT like real homemade hollandaise. The bacon was blubbery but the eggs were done perfectly.
Ten girls (3 I didn't know) met for lunch, The menu was really good and when served it didn't let us down. I can vouch for the Calamari. We have visited a few times and have always been very happy with the menu and service. The outlook over Paradise Parklands is beautiful. A small walk along the Broadwater finishes a lovely get together.
Ordered off their very small menu and went for the chicken Penang curry. This was an entre size and I am sure it was from a packet mix. To top it off they put a tablespoon of rice and sweet chilly. They have a 2 course selection with a glass of wine for $25. The first course is either garlic bread or brushetta. More a cafe.

.We have visited almost all the restaurants on the waterfront and this one stands out as one of the best we have tried. The $20 two-course meal with a glass of wine is a common offer on the waterfront, but we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of our meal. The chowder in particular was exceptional.
After a few years of only opening for breakfast and lunches, the owners have decided to start opening for evening meals again. A nice selection of tasty starters and mains coupled with friendly hostess made for a very pleasant dining experience.
Had dinner here last Friday and it was so good we are planning to go again this week. The food and wine were exceptional value for money. Its a great little restaurant to have a quiet dinner away from all the hassle.
The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere with a beautiful coastal setting. They offer a variety of delicious salads and fresh seafood dishes. The desserts were particularly outstanding.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, with a 2-course meal and a glass of wine included - how great is that? The chicken curry was delicious and the calamari salad was perfect.
