Went on Tuesday dinner for rare and coveted dinner date for parents of two. Things are lot more palatable when not dealing with flying food into mouths of critters. So know that my review may be falsely inflated.. but I do hail from no other than Manhattan with some food snobbery. So food is great! We had two lobster tails, grilled octopus, and she crab soup Lobster is fairly well cooked with well crafted tail shell as the base of the actual edible part and butter along with it (now seasoning was good for me but I eat less salt than most so maybe saltier butter melt could have been nice) Grilled octopus was small in portion (appetizer) but made up with how plum each piece was and beautifully...
I don't entirely get the allure. I first came to Blue Point years ago and loved having a fresh seafood restaurant with simple and tasty preparation. The food is good but there are enough things that leave room for improvement. On this visit, I was seriously disappointed with the smoked tuna pate. You mean tuna salad with some sweet pickles and tortilla chips out of the bag? They shouldn't serve that dish. Service is not really engaged. They take your order but don't really monitor the tables to see if you need something. And the lobster ravioli was beautiful, but overwhelmed with cheese. Due to mobility issues for one of my parents, we had to get takeout instead of dining in. It was my mom's birthday and she really wanted to have some good seafood so we placed our orders online. Not only was a 15% service charge automatically added to our bill, it didn't come with any utensils and we had to go inside the restaurant to pick up our order even though we notified them online that we were parked right outside. Food was mediocre and our favorite was probably the New England clam chowder. Other than that, it wasn't anything special except for the extra 15% charge for nothing. Probably will be my last time ordering from them.
Hands down one of the classiest places I've been too! The lobster bisque was amazing, alongside of the clams casino I ordered for my appetizer. The surf and turf entry I ordered was also phenomenal. This is a great location for birthdays, anniversaries, and the likes. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Delicious seafood in a quaint setting. Solo dining for me tonight and it was just delightful. Nice ambience! Friendly staff and great food. Bring your own booze as they don't serve alcohol.
Wide variety of seafood, fish, meat dish. Pistachios crust trout was delicious! Nice kale salad too! Parking is a little bit difficult you just need to find a street parking near by.

First of all interesting hours. Their website says they close at 830pm but if they're busy and there's a good flow of customers they'll stay open....
