We asked around what was the best place in town for food, and this name came up. Got there and sat on the deck out back. Cool wood structure on the deck but the green covering wasn't much of a sun shade. The menu is an odd funky sort Mexican flair to it but everything was really interesting and cool and the quadi foody types like me really liked it as well as the other couple who are more meat and potato crowd liked it too. The medi nacho's are NOT your regular pub style chips heaped with bad greasy cheddar and the pesto and feta on them was different and really good - everyone like liked it!The wife had the quesadilla which was good, but for me it should have had a meat option for it like -...
The staff at the visitor centre recommended BlueBelle to us. They were right! This place is not bad at all. I tried the Mac and Cheese. The presentation was nice with a little salad on the side of the dish It wasn't particularly cheesy, though, and the bechamel was a bit watery. On the up side, the dish wasn't overly salty or sugary. I would not call the food "fantastic" or "amazing". It's more like Old Spaghetti Factory-style. The prices are similar to OSF, so it's a fair value.The dining room is nice and has a lot of character as the restaurant is in a heritage building.The staff seemed a bit frazzled, but they are polite, cheery, and get the job done.
We seem to get to Kaslo a few times a year and this was our first time eating at the BlueBelle. We sat outside enjoying their great patio. Service was average, maybe a little on the slow side for how quiet it was that day. I had the Santa Fe burger and my better half had the Pulled Pork. The Burger toppings were very good, as well as the bun. I'd say the patty was average at best. The pulled pork was tasty, but the bun to meat ratio seemed a little off.
Server never checked back once even though she passed the table several times and ordered soup which was not brought to us. Apparently the facility does not have orders for appetizers or soup prior to the mains every item comes together, and making excuses is the preferred method of addressing guest concerns. What a cozy, friendly place to eat! Fast, friendly service and very good value. We sat on the patio outside and enjoyed being able to let our toddler roam outside safely. Our group had the spicy chicken salad and the ham/brie croissant sandwich. Both were fantastic! Wish I would have saved room for dessert, they looked amazing! Will def come back here!
This was a sweet busy restaurant. We enjoyed a great evening meal there with 16 of us in our group. It was very busy and we hadn't booked, so unsurprisingly we had to wait, which was fine. Soon as was possible we were all seated outside on the patio, which was very pretty and nicely lit with lights.
The location and quaintness of this place brought me back here for dinner. But I have to say it was a bit of a let down. My previous visits were breakfast and lunch and both were great and I would recommend. Its right downtown so kinda fun on the back patio.
We looked at TA for a recommendation for lunch and this was perfect. I had the BLT and we started with the bruschetta. The bread was soft and crunchy and the tomatoes juicy. Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. Great place. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We stopped in here to eat based on a recommendation from some friends - although the service was a bit slow for us (felt like we caught them during a slight rush), the food/presentation was phenomenal!
