I went to this restaurant for my birthday dinner with friends, and while the drinks at the bar were good, the food was a different story. I ordered fish that was advertised as 'fresh,' but it tasted like it had been left out in the sun for weeks. I couldn't bring myself to eat it. Additionally, the food was served cold. Not wanting to be rude, I tried a few bites of my friends’ meals, but they were just as disappointing. One friend ordered a burger, which was cold in the middle. After just a few bites, we decided to leave. We didn't bother complaining and simply paid the bill. The drinks were enjoyable, but we didn't stay long. Service was great but never had such bad food. Everything tasted boiled until chewy with no flavour as if it was microwaved, loved their their signature drink menu but nothing could excuse the food. Could not even swallow the shrimp. Packed up and left, had a third party taste it and when they had to spit it out too, I knew it wasn’t just us. They thought the carrots were under cooked sweet potatoes because they were so soft but chewy. I’ll never eat there again but it’s a beautiful location just don’t eat the food! Horrible service, cold food! Two in our party. Seated immediately. Waitress came and took our orders fairly quickly. Food arrived within a few minutes but unfortunately was stone cold! Couldn't get the attention of or waitress because she was too busy chatting with her friends. Seemed very pricy for the quantity of the food. Won't go back! We stopped here on our drive across Canada. The service was fantastic and all the staff were so friendly. We had our two littles with us, and the staff were very quick to get their meals out first! Stunning view, but be sure to call ahead to confirm their hours! After a long 10-hour drive, I was excited to visit this place based on recommendations. I checked their hours online through Google and was disappointed to find them completely closed when I arrived. However, the scenery is breathtaking, and I've heard it's fantastic when they are open.
This is a wonderful restaurant! The food was excellent, and the owner took the time to engage with our group of eight motorcyclists. They were very friendly and courteous, making our experience even better. The view of the water was beautiful as well. I would rate the food a 4, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a solid 4.
This is the best pub in Kenora! The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect. Overall, a solid 5 out of 5!
