It’s good but it can be sooo much better to get those Five stars. Ordered wings and the tostones con ropa vieja. The tostones and ropa vieja were on point, but the wings are not house made they are from a bag of Tyson fried wings. Come on, you can do better than that.For the entrees we ordered Paella(which was perfect! , arroz chaufa (amazing! , Sea bass breaded with panko and coconut flakes (not crusted like it says in the menu, crusted and breaded is not the same thing w/ shrimp on garlic sauce. Then again the sea bass was from a package from Dairyland,Cysco foods, or Baldor, it’s not made in-house. Just casually walking around Jackson Heights, I walked in to try this place. We were greeted and seated in their patio. This is a cute, quaint place to go to. Janexi was our waitress and she was very friendly, attentive and informative. We ordered 2 rounds of Mojitos of passion fruit and strawberry which were delicious! For appetizers, we had calamari which were okay but very well done. I checked in and received my free sangria from Yelp which was awesome! We went ahead and ordered Entrees as the place was getting filled with people. We ordered Pechuga a la plancha with rice and beans, steak and shrimp, sweet plantains and montaditos. Came here for my birthday party. It was my first time coming here and it won't be my last. Here is my Report Card for this place. REPORT CARD Environment A For our safety re: COVDI we wanted to sit outside in the fresh air. We were a large group adults and children .Thankfully it was arranged for us by the manager.It was very comfortable, attractive and clean. Meals A Our meals were plentiful and truly delicious ! we stumbled into this place and I am glad we made it! When we came in, we were warmly welcomed and sat at the bar. the barkeeper pablo was amazing and very attentive. the food was soouou good! we have the Colombian plate and it was so much food! in any case can be divided between 4 people. everything was delicious.
We ordered appetizer and an entre and a drink. It took quite a bit just to get my drink and the appetizer. The waitress did not tell us anything regarding the food being delayed or anything, I had to ask her how much longer just for the appetizer. Overall the food and drink was good. Great music.
the food was good, but the service was terrible. they took water forever. then we had a round drink, but only ine, because the server never came back to ask us for something. it was obvious that they were short staff, but a Friday night in juli was bad.
