So good to be back in Cabanyal and see life pretty much back to normal and most of my haunts still open after the Covid disaster that hit so many restaurants so hard. This wonderful , down to earth restaurants has always been one of my favourites in Valencia. It serves up the kind of food you might eat if you were lucky enough to be invited to a Spanish home one with an excellent cook). The 2 waiters who I have gotten to know over the years must be some of the hardest working in town. They do a booming breakfst business that bleeds into lunch which they begin serving at 2:00 p.m which also fills up the tables. The menu changes daily and reflects the seasonal ingredients they buy from the won...
This is the real thing and if you dont have a reservation for Saturday lunch served at 2.pm) you won't get a table.. Packed with locals who have been eating here for decades this was one of the places I enjoyed most during my week visit to the city. The 10 Euro menu is a bargain.. a big starter and excellent main cooked the way THEY like it.. Simple , delicious and fresh food directly from the wonderful Cabanyal Market nearby.... With several glasses of the house wine , a lovely flan and an expresso I paid less than 20 Euro for a memorable lunch. Very friendly service as well... Como diríamos mis amigos y yo!!! Aquí se come un almuerzaco que es la bomba!!! Menudos bocatas más ricos, generosos, de buen tamaño, ¡un espectáculo! ... Después olvídate de comer!!! Merece mucho la pena. El pan y los ingredientes de una calidad suprema como dirían los de Mc... Incluso el cremaet, está perfecto. Precio razonable... Todo genial, el trato el ambiente...!!!
Located opposite to the Mercado de Cabanyal (which is also worth a visit), the bar serves great food at very reasonable prices. The quantities are large. Un excel·lent lloc al barri del Cabanyal prop del mercat. Amb més de cent anys continua elaborant una cuina tradicional i casolana més que digna a una preus raonables. Una molt bona opció en la ciutat.
Bodega Restaurante de 1.893, con el tiempo paso de bodega a bar y de bar a Restaurante, comida casera, precios muy buenos, menú por 15€ primero más Segundo y postres todo casero.
Si solo buscas el esmortzaret de toda la vida y que este bueno y lo demás pase a un segundo plano este sitio es el tuyo. Recomendable 100%. Ambiente de barrio pueblo
