We chose Boka to celebrate our anniversary and to eat at a Michelin Star restaurant (on our bucket list). The service was impeccable from the moment we walked through the door right up to when we left. Staff greeted us warmly and said happy anniversary, we had personalized printed menus that mentioned our anniversary, and the food was exceptional. We chose the tasting menu with the standard wine pairing and every course was perfect, and a great way to try things you might never consider. I got to the restaurant a few minutes before the scheduled dinner time, and the hosts didn't make me and my companion feel too welcome remarking that we were there earlier. There was only once seat at the bar, and I was told to stand up and wait until the table was ready. A few minutes later, two seats at the bar got available, and when I tried to take one of those seats, I was told they were already reserved, and again it wasn't the most welcoming experience. The food was way overpriced for the taste, and quality. The music was loud, and perhaps the only good thing I can say about Boka, is that the lady who served our table (unfortunately I couldn't get her name), was really nice and friend...
We hadn't been to Boka for a long time. It is still the jewel we remembered—such a great looking restaurant, with a few different areas seating: indoor naturally lit quasi-patio, clubby bar area with sweet booths, and a more casual tabletop section as well. The libations of all sorts were creative and perfect, and the limited menu made the incredible preparation and gorgeous presentation even more special! And the desserts, oh my! Thank you to all the servers who made our dining experience such a pleasure! We will definitely be back soon!

Just wonderful, as always. I make a trip to Boka annually and it is such a wonderful spot. First time ordering from menu and it was as wonderful as the tasting. There are so many great options in Chicago, and this one should make anyone's list.
Appetizers were excellent. Many novel combinations of ingredients creating very interesting layers of tastes. Two thumbs up. Mains had a couple that were outstanding but the rest was more on the average side. Overall, very good.
I had the 8 course tasting menu with the regular wine pairing. Everything was incredible well crafted and prepared. The service was excellent and I really enjoyed the whole experience. I will definitely come back again!

Service and ambience was excellent, but had multiple servers. Mini starters were excellent, first course also excellent. Chicken breast for main entree was a bit bland and boring unfortunately.
