I’m unsure what has happened going back a few months ago the food was amazing but now the quality of the kebabs have gone down hill. The kebab side of the shop has pretty much turned into a youth centre. With young teenagers spilling drinks, swearing and vaping in the shop using the shop as a doss area. Whilst whispering about the customers in the shop and making snide comments. This made myself and other customers feel uncomfortable. Whilst ordering and waiting for our food. Which I heard other members of the public complain about the same issues outside the shop and complaining it is almost every night, whilst I was going in. Highly recommend Bombay Balti. It’s the best in Bath and we recommend to all our friends. The food is really tasty. We have used them many many times so can give a honest review over many visits. Delivery is excellent and drivers seem to know Bath well. Moti at front of house is excellent, really good customer service. Always makes sure there’s no coriander on our food and won’t let orders go out unless they are perfect. Thank you.
I live near several Indian takeout restaurants, but I find this one to be the most reliable. They are willing to customize meals, such as adding extra spice to side dishes. The only downside is that they charge for everything, unlike other places that may include freebies like sauce. However, I have learned that it is worth paying for quality food rather than saving a few pounds and ending up with not-so-great dishes elsewhere.
I recently ordered delivery from Bombay Balti and had to wait over 70 minutes. The delivery person arrived without wearing any gloves or face mask. The sag aloo dish seemed to be leftover from the previous day and reheated. The rice was also undercooked. It's disappointing to see another company taking advantage of the current situation. Used to be my go to Indian take away. Haven’t ordered in a while and was disappointed tonight. Poppadoms were burnt in the middle on every single one. Chicken was it was old, tough and my knife couldn’t even cut some bits. The bits I was able to cut was veiny and red. Food was bland. Such a shame.
If you are fussy about your food like me, this is place to go! Never been disappointed, excellent quality, decent portions, very clean food and always something extra in my bag. Good job guys! See you next time! Juri
The wait was a bit long, possibly due to it being a busy Saturday. However, the food was beautifully presented and the flavors were outstanding. It was a satisfying meal that was also reasonably priced.
