I've been to this place a few times over the years. Ownership and the menu has changed at least 3 times but the service never changes (slow). There's never a line, but they will always find a way to make a sandwich in 15 minutes. I usually order the vegetarian nowadays which requires no meat to be cooked but rather throwing vegetables in a baguette. It also surprises me that they are out of multiple Boba tea flavors often considering the lack of customers they get. Also be mindful of their hours as they can close early depending on the day. Overall the labor is slow, the food is relatively alright, and you won't be missing much if you skip out on this place.
Been wanting to try this place since it’s so close to my house but their hours never worked out. Finally came here and it did not disappoint. Got the baguette special, bread was light and filling was very good. Had the mix of head cheese, pate, veggies and was enough to last the entire sandwich. Also got a turkey cheese on croissant and added avocado and my daughter really likes that. Their salad spring rolls were also very good, the sauce that goes with it also good. Will come back again for sure, just have to remember they close early.It’s unfortunate they did not have pho or pastries but Covid will do that.
Decent place. Would recommend. Convenient to get banh mi without driving to SE Portland. The bread is really good and the marinade on the meat is tasty. I personally like the grilled chicken over grilled pork only bc the pork had too much fat and tendon to my liking. A little more pickles veggies would be nice. But otherwise, tastes great! : Their Vietnamese ice coffee is made strong too, which is a plus for a caffeine addict like me.
Took the recommendation for a watermelon tea with lychee jelly. It is out of this world so good. When I lived in the area I would come in for a bag of the fresh baked baguettes which are always a win! Also the customer service is always exceptional.
I've been here several times and they've always had great service. The bagguetes for the Banh Mi are always fresh and the right bit of soft/crunchy without tearing up the gums. Definitely recommend!Food: 5/5
Decided to order the pate chaud with a regular order of other meat based products and lo and behold, I find this little guy. If you like spores in your food go ahead and eat here.
I love this place!!! Conveniently located with good parking and welcoming atmosphere. The food is fantastic!!! I recommend getting the #1 sandwich, spring rolls, drinks!
Amazing baguettes! I'd eat a bag of them alone if it were more socially acceptable! For now I'll make my way through all of their sandwiches and beef stew!
This is the best, without a doubt, Banh Mi shop in Portland. It took me a while to find this gem!
