We went about 20 minutes out of our way to try this restaurant. Came in to order take out and there were two customers in the restaurant. The waitress took my order, while I was waiting about 8 other people came in. I watched almost...all of them get served and receive their food, finally the waitress approached me and asked what I ordered ???? are you kidding me !! I asked what was going on and was told that they lost my order This is a 25 seat restaurant with three staff, how many brain cells do you need to realize that you have served all the other clients except me. I received a very slim attempt at an apology What a terrible way to run a business We will never go back
After wandering around Chemainus with two 12 year old boys we stumbled upon this retro restaurant with an extensive menu. The boys inhaled a chicken quesadilla and chicken alfredo. The adults each ordered the war wonton. We shared a homemade blackberry pie and purchased blackberry...jam to take home. Everything was delicious and great value. The owner who served us was friendly and engaging. The boys immediately said we must rate this restaurant 5 stars and we agree....top notch if looking to please multiple tastes on a budget.
Prekovid restrictions with internal eating, had the leber and swash that was delicious, perfectly cooked with the right amount of speck and leber slices. not for every taste, but if I get the opportunity, I order it. I also ordered the Saturday to pull out Chinese... especially that was very good and will order it again. not much of an atmosphere, but makes it in its excellent food.
A tried and true family style restaurant with a variety of items on the menu. We stopped there a few times and the restaurant was well attended with people who I can tell are regulars. The waiter knows people by name and it appears he works very hard. They had a good selection of pies.
My husband and I were looking for a light lunch before going to the Chemainus Theatre ... we stumbled on to the Bonnie Martin and had a hot, delicious bowl of Won Ton Soup...just met our need!!
we went by and a local **** over eating he said ate every day. we tried and yum, it was all so good. next time, I'll let the room to taste the delicious looking homemade cake!
What a great place for breakfast, we both had omelettes, they were delicious. Potatoes, toast, real cheddar cheese, could not of been better.
they have the most extensive menu, it is all delicious especially the wonton suppe and veggie stir fry it keeps us coming again big takeout!
It's where the locals eat so it has to be good. I've been going for years. It was one of my kids favorite places when she was young.
