The only available reservation times were at 5 or 9 o'clock. When we arrived, the place appeared closed. After waiting for 3 minutes, we had to call for someone to assist us, and eventually, a staff member came up from downstairs, acknowledging our booking. The restaurant was mostly empty, so we expected a warmer welcome.
We were shown to our table, but there was a lot of confusion in the corridor as they seemed to be in demand for other reservations. The service was slow, with a long wait before we received our drinks, and we were told our table would need to be vacated by 7 PM. Apparently, this was also communicated to another group that arrived with a reservation.

We recently had our wedding reception at Botanique, where we had exclusive use of the restaurant and they were generous enough to let us to decorate the whole restaurant for our wedding. The service throughout the night was absolutely fantastic and all guests had the best time. The food was AMAZING! The Botanique team were able to create a personalised menu for our event and even had individual menus made for each guest! The show stopper of the night were the mojito cocktails!!! If you're looking for an excellent dining experience, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was outstanding, earning a perfect score of 5. The Cacio E Pepe was delightful, and the Triple Cooked Chips were a must-try. The Lions Main Mushrooms were incredibly flavorful, and the Charred Corn Fritter added a wonderful touch. Went to Botanique for brunch last Saturday. Can safely say in 46 years of living this was the best brunch I’ve ever had. I don’t normally write reviews but felt compelled to after this gastro spectacular. We started with the rosemary and truffle polenta, the accompanying dips were incredible. However the 3 brunch plates we ordered between us (no judgement please) were incredible. Wild mushroom on focaccia with sunflower ricotta was a delight. Fresh and bursting with umami richness. Food and service was outstanding, very well priced. But next time will definitely book directly through the restaurant and not open table. They had obviously been hacked and received a fake phone call from opentable to require a booking deposit. Lots of other reviews from others having the same problem but nothing seems to get done about it. Shame as it had nothing to do with the restaurants and they lose customers.
That was an amazing experience! The staff was incredibly attentive, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I'm not even a vegetarian, but I really loved the food. Almost everything on the menu was gluten-free. I would definitely return. The pricing was also reasonable—£130 for three small plates, two large plates, a glass of wine, two cocktails, two desserts, and the service fee—and we left feeling happily full.
Absolutely fantastic food, loved every dish and the three times fried chips were of course amazing. We were already planning when to come back before we finished. Very gluten free friendly.
