We started with the mozzarella sticks, which come in a portion of three, and ordered two Old Blue burgers. Unfortunately, the starter arrived alongside the mains. The burger buns were underwhelming, resembling something more suited to fast food. The flavor combination fell flat, and the onions needed more caramelization. The burgers also lacked some greens and crunch—perhaps toasting the buns would have improved the texture. The wine-by-the-glass options are quite limited for a cellar door, and the value for money wasn’t ideal. Additionally, the burgers don’t come with chips. On the positive side, the atmosphere was pleasant, service was prompt, and the mozzarella sticks were excellent.
