I stopped by my usual local gas station earlier to fill up my bike, a routine I have been following for years. When I went to pay, the cashier informed me that it is against policy to sit on my bike while filling up. Despite having done this for almost forty years, I was warned that next time I would be asked over the intercom to dismount before refueling. While this may be a new policy at BP, it is not illegal to sit on my bike while filling up. There are no signs indicating this policy, and I believe the manager should speak with the cashier to remind them to communicate with customers more politely. Unfortunately, I did not catch the cashier's name, but I hope this issue can be addressed...
I stopped by this restaurant on my way to the airport to refuel my car. They had good quality fuel at fair prices and also offered a selection of drinks and snacks. The shop and forecourt were clean and the staff was friendly.
