while we were in the opposite, we came to nimes to visit one day the arena, which was great by the way. we had no idea what to do for lunch, so simply wandered around the beautiful day and found this place. along a side street. we agreed that pizza was a good choice for lunch, and it was really delicious! our server, an adorable young lady who spoke very good English, was helpful with the menu and made us welcome. we had both their pfeffer chocolate and had no complaining! restaurant and bathroom were clean, and it is located on a pretty street that is perfect for a lazy walk. highly recommended.
I ordered the entrecote steak and chips and the server asked how I would cook it, then she suggested medium and I nodded in agreement. when it came out, it was indefinable, like a leather boot. I had to tell them how I couldn't eat. it was insulted, argumentatiw and accusing. she still kept it on the bill and when I challenged her, she said, "they ordered it so. all English speakers always want you to get steak overcooked”. I had to pay for the fact that she just agreed to knock the price of a drink (which was only €3.) it was my first time that I also complained in a restaurant!
Came by this place while looking for a place to have lunch. The menu was in French, so we were about to walk away, but asked the waitress/hostess if she spoke English. She did! And very well! Asked what the Plat de jour was and...it beef and trimmings' basically a beef stew, using their local beef, in a wine sauce with carrots and a bit of mushrooms. It also came with choice of frites, pasta or rice. I had the frites AWESOME! Hubby had the pasta loved it! Service was excellent- well attended to and the price was just 10 Euros each. A great deal! Will be returning!!
Nous nous sommes arrêtés dans cette brasserie entre amis pour dîner. Nous avons interpellé plusieurs fois les serveurs qui nous ignoraient royalement. Aucune amabilité. Les pizzas étaient froides et les boissons commandées n'étaient pas celles demandées. Sans parler à la caisse ou le comptage a été refait 5 fois...Je n'irai pas à aller jusqu'à fuir, je reste sur le fait que nous avons peut être pas eu de chance...

We came here for a family meal and sat outside across the road which was great in the evening. They catered for me being a vegan and I had a divine salad with potato, olive, leaves, vinigarette etc. My family had pizza and a salad and really enjoyed theirs too. The only downfall was no highchair for my little one. Quite difficult to contain a baby near a road when they want to walk around!

Decent food, not overpriced (see other reviews), and great atmosphere. Sebastian our waiter spoke incredible English and helped us chose from an all French menu. Food was very authentic and good quality. Wines are not overpriced and good. Overall a great place to eat, would...highly recommend coming here !
really great experience after a stressful day of sorting out PCR tests for our return to the uk. large pizza, friendly environment and exactly what we needed. special mention Jean-Philippe, which was very helpful, especially when considering how busy it was. when we're back in nimes, we'll be back.

Popped in for lunch, both had the special salted steak which came with fries, some sort of scrambled egg and salad. It was delicious! It seemed only one member of staff spoke English but they were all very friendly and helpful.
Aucune amabilité et on y mange extrêmement mal. Je vous le déconseille très fortement. Préférez le kebab juste a côté et surtout préparez vous à vous faire niquer votre mère car vous n'avez pas dit bonjour
